Bobby Knight and his fan girlies like to pretend none of the stuff like this had anything to do with him being fired, and that he didn't hurt himself through his lack of self-control in these incidents.

Bobby Knight admitted to chocking a lot of athletes. There is a video of Knight hunting. The property owner asks him to move further away from his house. Knight tells him he doesn't have to. The arrogance of Bobby Knight exceeded the basketball court.

Sad that Reed is gone, but he totally exaggerated this. He claimed that Knight grabbed his neck and a bunch of players had to get between him and Knight. Clearly didn’t happen that way. This is more in line with the version of the story told by Reed’s teammate, whose name I forgot. Knight’s behavior was over the top to be sure, but this particular incident seems like he was admonishing him by just placing his hand around his throat without actually applying pressure and cutting off his air supply.

What this film doesn’t show is that Reed was talking back to Knight. That’s a no-no. Everyone knew that, including Reed. Knight is military. Knight is a teacher. Knight prepares kids for the harsh world after basketball and expects you to be tougher than you think you are, smarter than you think you are, and better than you think you are. You have to be a team player and play by the rules. You have to go to class, study, and graduate. Going to play basketball at IU is the toughest thing these kids ever had to go through-BY DESIGN. Every kid, every parent that sent their kid to IU to play for Knight knew exactly what they were getting into. They knew about all of Knight’s notorious incidents even before the Feinstein book-long before the book. This is part of the reason that Reed didn’t even want nor was he going to say anything about it. He moved on with his life. Most kids make the full 4 yrs at IU-some don’t. It wasn’t until a witch hunt CNN flunkie wanted to make a name for himself and sensationalize a story did Reed even mention it when he was tracked down. This entire thing was a witch hunt. Everyone knew it. Knight was Knight. Knight was still winning. IU was still a blue blood school. The narrative we have and you spread today is false. Knight didn’t change-that is correct. He didn’t have to. If you fire him then that’s what it is-nothing more nothing less. He proved that with the zero tolerance bullshit. He was real to his principles. Now, kindly fuck yourselves. 😃😃🫃🏼🎣🤓

I am 100% glad Neil Reed didn’t die in 1997. If Reed died then, Knight would be in prison ever since. I think Knight belongs in a mental hospital which is even worse. Look on the bright side, Knight displayed better behavior at Texas Tech, he was terrible at coaching Indiana University, but they still should have committed him. There have been liars through history but, Bobby Knight takes the cake. Why did Neil Reed attend Indiana University? We miss you Reed.

LOL this didn't lead to Bob Knight getting fired. This did put him on probation. What got Knight fired was some other kid whining that Knight grabbed him by the arm for not addressing him with a formality (Mr. Knight, or Coach). Bob said in an interview "My name isn't "Hi, Knight"". Lol

Bob Knight denied choking Neil Reed. He was fired by IU within six months of this video becoming public. A picture is worth 1,000 words. This video directly led to Bob Knights firing.
