Around the 36 minute mark is that a chicken in the tree behind the dove? I'm playing this for a little female I found last spring on the ground in front of a Jiffy lube shop. I finished raising her and now she's sitting on my shoulder watching KZbin with me, she sounds like a gazoo with her voice changing. I can't help but laugh every time and she's caught on that she gets a reaction outta me so she'll do it intentionally and then then look at me for the reaction. The second I settle down she'll do it again and this will go on for awhile cause I laugh more knowing she's doing it on purpose. I have a California ring neck male and he does the same thing but with a different action to get the rise outta me.

It is a female Northern Cardinal, there's always some birds waiting on the tree, especially smaller ones. Squirrels or some aggressive birds, on the other hand, will jump right onto the feeder without waiting.

I lost my best friend Bandit on 12/18/24. The night before, 12/17/24, we sat and watched this video. She had hyperthyroidism and had gotten a false positive on her FIV test till about 2 weeks before her passing. But she was toughing through it and I had decided, that vet bills be damned, I would give her a fighting chance, so she came home. She really enjoyed watching this video, she was very confused on where the audio came from and she, in her nonchalant, "too cool" kinda way, was intrigued. I was shiny hunting with her at my side on my desk while it played, her tail swished and i clicked away at buttons. Thank you for giving me such a raw and honest memory with her and thank you for letting her prey on some birds one more time. See ya 'round Bandit.

So sorry for your loss. I'm sure she knows how much you love her. I'm sure that your life is full of love too. Also, thank you for sharing your story, it's what motivates me to create videos on this channel.

Lovely and soothing. Thanks so much for recording! People think the dove is sad, it's not. It's a bird call, not a funeral anthem.

Being in Australia I don't think I've ever heard the Mourning dove, but I have heard something very similar, maybe a different breed of dove/pigeon. Anyways, I remember waking up to the Australian Magpie calls. That was always nice.
