Even when dancing together, it's very clear that Haru is the best dancer among all (kudo to the animator for those little details). Her rhythm is spot on, her movement is the best, and she still has lots of stamina after her dancing. I haven't watched the entire anime but I think the reason she hold back is because she dances in team, not solo.

Yeah, it’s especially interesting when you reveal her entire backstory-that she’s actually an ace who was an elite trainee. She left her group because she felt like she was outshining the others. In episode one, during their first performance with their manager, you can see her specifically looking between her two group members. At first, I thought she just forgot the steps, since I used to dance and know how easy it is to forget moves when you sometimes do the emergency let me look at other people to remember when I’m supposed to do by watching others. But now, thinking about it more deeply, it seems she was deliberately doing that to ensure she wasn’t overshadowing the rest of her group.

She ignored Haru for a long time then now she wants her back? I still can't understand Ren. It's been a year already, but it make me question her again after seeing this as a recommended. Yeah, she needs to focus to be better to catch up a little to the natural talent like Haru, but is it worth it to sacrifice her best friends? yeah, she also seem to not bond with the other bestie for a year as we can tell from how they coincidentally sit next to each other on the concert day.

I didn’t know much about this but my frist look at Haru . My first thought thought of her was girl who does loves idols, but is lacking in skill. Then the twist that she’s actually an ace who could’ve debuted in a better group, or just be a sole idol because she’s actually a fairly talented entertainer.

One thing I noticed if you rewatch to the beginning you see Haru look between her two group members. when you watch it looks like she’s trying to like that can’t remember the steps and she’s looking in between the group members to try to remember. But knowing what we know she was trying to make sure she was not up stage her group mates and hold herself back.

Unluckyly there isn't any announce yet and is high chances the show is over. Nobody on the net is talking about a second season or an eventual Movie with the fight between THINGS and HI:RAIN. The sequel is not on any "To be announced" list. I'm not losing my hope but is very difficult to expect a sequel

What Haru wants aren't comrades with high level skills who can keep up with her and take her to the top in no time. What she wants are comrades who shares the same dream as her and accept her true self where they can share the joy and the pain together.

@@alejandromunoz3058 To be honest half of it is true but the other half is not. It’s true that Ren wants Haru to join HY:Rain because the group can help her shine than TING. But the question that needs to be answered ‘Is it really necessary to be part of a group with better skills? Or is it more better to be the one who shares the same goals, dreams, passion, and desire to be with you each step you take?’ I believe that even the HY:Rain have the advantage of the higher skills, the manager and the members of TING are the ones who are her true friends and group who understand her more better because being true to yourself is never wrong. For Ren, she still believes everything will be fine if Haru joins the group again. But it will not help Haru to become her real version of herself. She will always wear a mask of lies if she returns to the HY:Rain.

Even if they put all that effort and she still hasn’t changed, isn’t that a hint? Also, I was thinking this before- but if she would put all her effort, she’ll be called either a “try hard” or be told “the group members aren’t catching up with her.” And when at the very end of this clip, it had to do with her previous idol group, maybe it left some trigger to her not letting herself go forth. So people who do watch this later, maybe stick yourself into her shoes? Not only basing on other people’s efforts. Though, if Haru made fun of them for all this, I would agree to their comments. But she’s still doing a lot for the group but just not trying her best. Maybe she’ll heal but forcing her to do such will only make the trigger worse than it is. ^^

Haru holding back her true skills is more like her trying not to hurt anyone because they can't keep up and having thoughts that they'll never be as good as her. If she keeps giving it her all, her friends will be discouraged to the point where they might just give up on being idols. In other words, it'll be an antithesis of what idols do, taking one's dreams away.
