I saw this on British TV in the early 1980's when i was about 11/12. Funnily enough, my neighbourhood was being demolished and was empty of people at the time ( first empty houses for a year or two and then after they had been knocked down just open wasteland.)

Saw this movie in 1977 (1977 theatrical re-release) at the Bonaventure Theatre in Montreal with cousins at the age of 13 y/o (my cousins were 14 y/o). Great memories, thanks for posting.

I would have been all of 4 years old at the time of that broadcast, so I missed out on that most appropriate of airings. Anton Phibes so adores his late wife. Everything he does is to honor her memory. I do remember seeing it for the very first time on Channel 7's 3:30 Movie, where it would have been cut down to a 75 minute runtime for a 90 minute broadcast slot (15 minutes were needed for commercials). This was well AFTER having seen Dr. Phibes Rises Again on the very same program. So it goes. Thanks for watching!
