My dad stayed in schubart park when I was in college, that's 19 99 swimming pool excellent city within a city,, a butcher a spar and a wishy washy, don't know what the hell these guys dis, in just glad my dad passed away 3 years before all the shit. He was pensioner living on a little money, wish we had places like that once again, especially with south Africa that only the rich can afford a proper roof over their head

Thanks for sharing this. Balwin is building a "city within a city" in PTA East. I was there yesterday. Got a video coming up that speaks of that.

I'd like to see a video on those who sell food eg. plates and magwinya, particularly at the taxi rank or in the CBD just to see their relationship with customers and taxi drivers. This always fascinated me when I was in varsity, especially in the morning you could get a hot beverage, sandwich or amakeke, for lunch you could get something as simple as boiled eggs to chips or full plate for an affordable price. I'd always wonder what time they get up to prepare and if they spend the whole day there and how much they make on average. I'd also like to know about those who walk around selling drinks and cigarettes and what the types of things and people they encounter on the daily.

Thanks for the suggestions. Lately, I've also noticed people selling sandwiches at intersections and also wonder what time they start their day.

This won't work in townships I guarantee that. Actually they must start with spaza shops before they come for car wash and all that. The government is scared of spaza shops.

Also my first time seeing this content have to say so far am loving it, already subscribed and will recommend this channel to amajita wala ekasi. At home we also have a car wash and it's doing well so this nonsense they are trying to impose we won't allow it. Some businesses must just ramain informal. Not everything needs to be formalized.

Integration was a horrible idea. People are more comfortable living with others who look and act like them. Even in the USA, Chinese form their own mini-China Towns. Why? Because most people are uncomfortable living in the midst of people who look and act totally foreign

I personally don't want to move permanently, i agree with the other woman who said they have hope that things will turn around eventually.... I wish i could get married without having children, and that's mostly unlikely to happen in South africa, as i believe most me my age 28 already have 1child or more... Im quiet certain that i don't want children, due to emotional aspects, and the hard labour of raising them...

So What you’re saying is that when Africa was given its independence in countries South Africa having been ruled now by the Indigenous people they have completely ruined, their country, it a correct supposition. Is there any country in Africa country that is doing well economically since the end of colonisation. Thank you for your understanding.

Trying to push a false narrative much? The world is watching and is fully aware of the slow collapse of South Africa since the late 1990s. Electricity, Railways, Water and other infrastructure are all failing now after years of neglect and corruption. I think SA will eventually be undistinguishable from countries like Zimbabwe. Slowly it is happening, like a gigantic social experiment.
@TheEntries
@TheEntries 22 күн бұрын
False narrative? I'm confused. What have I said that's lead you to that conclusion? I suggest you watch the full vid. Yup, S.A has definitely been in quite a decline. Public services inadequate for most South Africans. Don't even get me started on the economy. I've got an upcoming video about how regular South Africans end up engaging with the informal economy to survive. It's sad to see.

@TheEntries there are so many speculations in your narration of the development plan by the Apartheid government. The Apartheid government wasn't obsessed with creating a difference between blacks and whites in terms of class. They were obsessed with restoration of great European standards, which were compromised by Anglo-boer war. Most importantly, they were obsessed with creating a solid property industry among other industries. Thus, that government was very discriminating to non Europeans. To them, discrimination was necessary for better executed infrastructure. They did a good job. I hate to say it. They were brilliant and daring. Thus, South Africa is developed.

The poor planning of apartheid at least created an infrastructure equal to Australia at that time. The most advanced in Africa even this day.

If the people who lived there after 1994 paid their services accounts, the municipality would not have needed to disconnect them; there would have been no need for protests, and the place would not have become the uninhabitable, decayed, valueless waste that it now is, that they made of it. What a shame! I would hang down my head in shame, not start a protest.
