@ yeah harbor freight actually has some pretty decent tools. It’s good, kinda put it on the back burner for now, trying to finish up a few things I wanted to do to the truck. I’m in the process of installing a 351 Cleveland I built in the blue and white 76 at the moment. I been seeing the old Plymouth is coming along.

How is the vibration feels in the steering shaft? Does it mimic a rag joint?
@carlsauto13 күн бұрын
Should not but I haven't driven this one on the road yet. I have done the XJ steering shaft upgrade to square body Chevy trucks and it's night and day difference. Basically the same concept just much cheaper.

I had BBK's on my 07 Charger RT AWD and didn't have good luck with them. Within 6 months of installing them 5 of the 8 runners cracked by the flange. I ended up getting JBA's and they have been on the car for about 10 to 12 years.

Those SRT manifolds cast iron or steel tubing?
@carlsauto14 күн бұрын
I'm not 100% but I think they are stainless steel tubing. They are very well made and hefty. If I had the midpipes laying around they would be my choice over the BBK shorty headers.

@awd_pirate1946 they wouldn't bolt up backwards, the bolt pattern wouldn't line up.

How do you remove the frame?
@carlsauto3 ай бұрын
C body Mopars this year are sub frame cars. Front can be taken off but there is no full frame. I just built a rotisserie for this one and prepped/painted best I could. Also welded in some square tube to tie the sub frames together.

Help the oil get back to the pan quicker but mostly to prevent those from breaking off or causing cracks. Just something I'm used to doing cause the old timers told me too.

Nah. The port is there with a block off. Another port is available on the front that's designed for a gauge as well, just didn't have room with the install to put the gauge there. The fuel ports still function as designed.

I’m curious how you ensure a good seal on the intake when you lower the hood?
@carlsauto3 ай бұрын
So with the scoop off on the passenger side I can see from the top and feel it to ensure it's right on. Took the battery out so I could see through the front to ensure I got the driver side perfect. Then I lined up the rear Grove of the intake with the center dip of the firewall and added a green dot on the front of the intake lined up with a green dot on the fuel pressure regulator so I always get it right. I can install it backwards if I ever get caught in a torrential downpour so it sucks from the engine bay instead but also added six drain holes for normal rain. In my mind it works lol.
@heisenberg18333 ай бұрын
@@carlsauto thanks for the explanation!
@carlsauto3 ай бұрын
@@heisenberg1833 If it doesn't work (as in if she spins over time...) I plan to add a dowel of sorts off the EFI base and a location hole under the intake.
