I wonder if the unique animals on bitterroot include more than just Mountain Lions and Moose. As a resident American, I would like to know if there are also Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Coyotes, Elk, Bighorn Sheep, Bison, Etc., if that's not the case I will be disappointed.

I grew up in the Bitter Root Valley of Western Montana in small town called Darby at the South End. Population ~990 souls when I left for the USAF in 1993. Lots of history there. The town of Darby burned down around 9 times. My Dad was an ambulance EMT for 20 years there. Seen many deaths on the long and narrow Highway 93. One of the longest North/South highways in the US 1359 miles long. I spent most of my teenage years riding up and down it on my motorcycle.

It never feels like America because of the same assets haha. Even Deer Isle feels like Russia.

For the most part all Russian writing has been replaced with the English translation. All Russia items have been removed or replaced with an American equivalent. You won’t find a more authentically American experience in DayZ. Maybe 10% of this map has any harkening to something Russian. Give it a try and then you’ll see

Mixed East European and Soviet era models, houses etc kinda create a bizarre feeling of something not as it should be...just doesn't make logical sense and I can't get rid of this feeling, a US setting and...soviet stuff all around. Is it just me?

Yep. Just you 😂. It's by far the biggest American overhaul of any map. I don't even know what kind of stuff you are referring to. Do you know how easy it is to find a mosin or sks in the Us or Canada?

All the snacks have been swapped, unique assets, all the signs are in english on pretty much every building. The branding of a lot of things has been changed, custom apartment buildings/police stations/grocery stores. I can't wait for YOUR map homie, it better be good 😂
