Great work again! I’ve been trying different eye candy mixtures over different bases using plastic spoons. I’m new to the lake I’m fishing now, which is very clear and deep. I’m trying some of your clear lake patterns to seen how they work. From the bait in the lake I think the color shift paints are making the back too dark.

DEPENDING ON THE CLAIRITY OF WATER THAT COULD BE VERY TRUE. SUPER CLEAR WATER IN MOST SITUATIONS THE FISH PREFER THE COMPLETE TRANSPARENTS CHECK OUT THE SPARK SHAD LINE OR MANY OF THE GHOST PATTERNS. FOR COLOR SHIFTS TO WORK AT THEIR BEST MUST HAVE BLACK BASE.

iwata eclipse. I have used many brands over the years. the key for your brush is to find the paint consistency it likes. thin your paint and make sure airbrush is clean.

Damn blast from the past asked you about that color years ago, glad you around to it, but yoy should get lure in hand, the back should be more darker and the chartreuse is more a lightly transparent color, almost like it was to transparent, but yours looks great

Hey buddy :) I've been doing some airbrushing, and then dabbed into actual brushing landscapes, both acrylic paints. There are some cons and pros for both, first airbrushing very fine stuff, like foliage in the distance, that's gonna take a lot of practice, and a LOT of patience, dabbing one dot at a time for the leaves. With a fan brush (there are various types) the ones that are really spread out with a few hairs on a strand at a time, you can quickly make those dots. But the disadvantage of that is they're round and you're bound to make round patterns all over the trees. The other fan brushes, I learned the trick to make leaves, one dab, one leaf at a time. But for a really long distance in the scenes, they're really not small enough and at times you make "blobs" if you're not careful and have to wipe them off and do it again. So I sighed and thought, "stencils", and just airbrush the leaves in which may be cheating to some. I already bought stencil sheets and a soldering iron with some different tips as someone gave me this idea. The stencils I got are cheap, clear plastics, so I have another better, stronger brand on the way. It's ok, easier to cut, easier to melt, and I can use them as palette covers on my palette, and they're very easy to clean, and if you have more, you can just set the old one aside and get a clean one. I wanted to see how stencils are done, so I watched your video and others. Thanks for sharing this video!
