As a Ravens fan, saying this was their best chance couldn’t be more farther from the truth. If you watched film like you claim you do then anyone with a little football IQ knows the O line was horrible and below average. The tackles were so bad that they rotated guys. And in the AFC Championship game the RB were also bad at pass protection being that they were RB2 and RB3. And with Lamar MVP name 1Qb who could have did what he did without his number 1 weapon and without a RB1 and a o line that rotated tackles? For true Ravens fans it’s plenty of film study channels that actually breakdown the film with the all 22 film not just someone giving you an opinion.

Nah there is no way the ravens have the number 1 defense again this year. Defense doesn’t work like that. They will fall of this year. They lost an All Pro LB, a Safety who was second in the league in interceptions, they lost Clowney, they lost OBJ, they lost their RT, their LG, and their RG. Their LT is always hurt. He played 13 games last year so I expect about 6 maybe 7 this year. They lost JK Donbins. Them adding Derrick Henry doesn’t scare me one bit. He is a high volume 30 year old RB. They lost others too I just can’t think of them all right now. Oh and their Defensive Coordinator is history. Head coach for Seattle now. And it was pretty dumb to give Justin Madabeke such a large contract after 1 good year. His first 3 years were very forgettable. So he is in a contract year and has a new high powered DC and had a great year. I would have franchise tagged him and told him to do it again and then we will talk.

Lamar Jackson is not even a top 5 QB. Joe Burrow is the second best in the NFL. And last year Dak Orescott was better than Lamar Jackson. The MVP is a regular season award. Dak had a better year than he did. Mahomes is the best and Burrow is number 2 the Allen then Prescott then Goff and then Lamar. So Lamar is number 6 in my opinion and in most people who aren’t die hard Ravens fans opinion.

Lol Ronnie Stanley WAS a great offensive tackle in 2018 and 2019. Not anymore. Stanley has never played a full season of football. Ever in his career. The only year he make All Pro and Pro Bowl was 2019. In 2020 be played 6 games. In 2021 he played 1 game. In 2022 he played 10 games in 2023 he played 11 games. Lamar has played 6 seasons. And he is 2-4 in the playoffs. Joe Burrow has played 4 seasons but only 2 full seasons and he is 5-2 in the postseason and has an AFC championship. So to answer the question you asked in this videos title YES Lamar Jackson is overrated. He had the #1 defense in the nfl last year. Not 2nd not 3rd but the number 1 defense in the league. And he still could not make it to the Super Bowl. Last year he had 24 td oassss and 3600 yards. 67% completion percentage,8 ypa, 102.7 passer rating, 7 interceptions and 6 lost fumbles 5 rushing tds and 800 rushing yards. Yea that’s good but he had less than 30 tds and less than 4000 passing yards and an average completion percentage,that’s a career high in passing yards to 3600! Lol. His first MVP season he had 44 total tds and 36 passing tds and his passer rating was above 110. He deserved it that year last year he didn’t. Dak Prescott was the mvp last year I don’t give a dam that they gave it to Lamar. Why does he have so many rushing yards? Be she he isn’t a great QB. He is a QB whose main attribute is his speed and running ability.

The excuse that the lack of a run game cost the Ravens the AFC title game is half correct. The tape shows Lamar either didn't see or missed throwing targets that an average QB should be able to make. I think they should have stuck with Roman personally, I know that's not a popular take among Ravens fans and I won't pretend to be an expert on the Ravens but that's just my opinion. It was an innovative run game that was fun to watch, took a ton of pressure of Lamar and allowed him to grow into what he became as a passer by forcing defenses into vanilla looks. Just making him a standard pocket QB was to me a mistake and made them easy to gameplan against, especially come the playoffs. That Greg Roman scheme made him more of wildcard on the chessboard and was a nightmare for opposing DCs.

Yes he has the same amount of playoff wins as Mayfield and Tannehill. Didn’t deserve that MVP either CMC, Purdy, Dak and Tyreek were all more deserving than him he only got it cause of a popularity contest like Myles with the DPOY. Raekwon may be a bit more dangerous getting after the QB than he was in Miami. They primarily used him as that run stuffer. He is going to be in a much more natural/dynamic system for him to excel alongside Buckner getting double team'd etc.. That front could be nasty this year if Latu turns out to be a stud.

Anthony was still better than Gardner last year. So I definitely expect the team to be better. This offense has top 5 potential. Anchored by a potentially top 3 run game. Health has to hold up but AR and JT behind a good O-line is a superpower. The weapons are not yet elite but I have lots of faith, and I think they have a pretty good floor. Nothing to worry about with Pittman. I expect Josh Downs to take another leap, he could be an elite slot very soon. We’ll see what AD Mitchell can do as a rookie, if he can show some explosiveness then that will be a plus. And I like Alec Pierce a lot more as a rotational WR rather than a WR2. I’m still a big believer in Jelani Woods. Don’t let him get to 100% bc I think he’s gonna do a lot of damage. The defense has a good front 7. The secondary will make it an up and down defense if there are no additions made. But I really wish they’d just sign Justin Simmons already.
