Man, it's 11:38pm. I was gonna go to bed, but I'm not sleeping until I finish today's Boot. Camp assigned. This reminds me of my grandmother & her boyfriend. She's a school teacher with a masters degree in teaching reading; yet he couldn't read. When my grandmother found out he couldn't read, she immediately wanted to teach him how. Of course with reading you must begin with the fundamentals, the alphabet & thier sounds. He a man in his mid '60's who had accomplished a lot & was very respected in our community despite not being able to read. He was too proud to start with the fundamentals, saying: "I know the alphabet & refusing to stake the necessary steps, like learning the sounds each letter makes. She told me this when I was a teenager as a lesson to never be ashamed of starting at the beginning, no matter how old you are. I'd totally forgotten & needed the reminder. Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.

Hello and good morning. Excuse me, I had a question for you. I live in Iran and I cannot purchase your course due to sanctions. Of course, there are sites in Iran that sell your courses to us, and I know that the fee we pay will not be paid to you. I wanted to know if you are happy for me to purchase your course from these sites. I am a Muslim and this issue is important to me. I am waiting for your answer.

I’m thinking you have a rabbit hole for further thinking: Focus and Foci (Convergent Thinking) and Awareness (Divergent Thinking). If you compare both to the grayscale transparency (alpha channels) of 00 to FF you can do either but not both together.

I started a similar routine this year and decided to do a minimum of one hour of focused work for the first quarter. In the second quarter, it will be two hours, then three in the third. I’m not sure if I’ll manage four hours of focusing on one thing, but I’ll know better in a few months. And so far, it’s working! 🌼🚲

🚲 : 1. 10-20 mins of drawing first thing in the morning everyday 2. 30 mins focused work and 10 mins break continue for 6 rounds, have lunch, then continue same for 3 more rounds 3. Go to play badminton for 1 hr. Then spend time with son and family then sleep.

I am trying to switch my career from tech to the creative side. So I am practicing my drawing skills daily but I have no clue how to transition things slowly. If you can discuss on the roadmap that you think will help people like us, will really be helpful.
@Skeshbook25 күн бұрын
I'd love to. Before that, can I ask you a couple of questions? - why are you transitioning? What are the reasons? - what's your goal in art? As in, what kind of art would you want to do for a living
@SoumitraDevBurman-x4l25 күн бұрын
@@Skeshbook First of all, thanks for responding. Reason for transition is very long and same old. I have loved drawing since childhood and was getting good at it and wanted to be an artist but family pressure made me an engineer. And now I am somehow surviving in this tech world. Nothing in my job excites me or makes me happy. Only the family I am taking care of is the reason I am pushing through everyday. On the other hand, even though I don't have any skills right now, when I draw something, even though it's a bad piece of art, it gives me immense happiness. I want to pursue something that makes me happy. On that note, I will answer your second question. My bigger goal is to become a professional illustrator and create a sustainable art business out of my skillset. However, I have no clue how I'm gonna do that or what kind of illustration style I am gonna go for. I am still practicing basics and improving my core skills. 😇

🚴♂️ 20min on [Focused]; 5 to 10 minutes off [defocused]; 20 min on… Alternatively, one could roll 6d4 (6 4 sided dice) and use 5min x the resulting roll for a focus:defocused work:rest interval. For example rolling 4-2-2-1-3-3::20✍️:5😴:10✍️:5😴:10✍️:5😴:5✍️:5😴:15✍️:5😴:15✍️
