Thanks for posting this. Exactly what I was looking for. Helped me to see what a nice trail it is. Can you recommend some other nice trails in the Mansfield arlington area. I’m pretty familiar already with the ones in Mansfield.

As of today, it's extended about a mile further north from where you started the video. It'll be really nice once they connect both segments of the Campion.

Hello, are you sure that the 75 crossing on this video isn't 635. I thought this trail ran from cotton wood trail up thru crossing at 635 ? about to ride an electric scooter to work and just wanted to verify. Thank you!

Thank you for this video! And thank you for stopping at the spill off to take a look at the view. I lived in Dallas back in the 90s and cycled here frequently. Brings back some wonderful memories and it’s nice to see the changes that have taken place since then. If I catch myself in the area for a couple days in the future, I will definitely have to get a bike and do this again.

Any idea if this is a fairly safe area for a solo female cyclist, now in 2023, anyone? Thanks
@daniellee63989 ай бұрын
Yes these trails are safe during daylight hours as there are a lot of hikers and cyclists.

Thanks for this! Haven’t ridden there in about 10 years and am planning a trip back. This helped!

Back in the 1990's, I got to ride on the unpaved trails to the east that were later restricted from all bikes, due to trick bike riders wearing out the area. There are too many access points into River Legacy, so, it's impossible to control, I guess, other than a ban on all bikes on unpaved trails in the east area. The best thing about River Legacy is the tree canopy. Even if it's 90 + degrees, if, there is a slight wind blowing, then riding in the shade is delightful! I avoided the weekends for pavement riding, as there were just too many mamas and babies on the path to go around. Also, I will not ride there at the break of day, I did that once, and encountered a very large snake crossing the cement path. I was was riding fast, with no one else on the trail. I feared that if I had somehow run over that snake, it could have twisted around and bitten me. I guess certain creatures are in motion at dawn, or at suck for that matter. Inside the canopy, on the dirt trail, I stopped and was able to see a large owl in a tree. When the owl flew, it was without a noise.

I live in Victory Park right at the start of Katey Trail. Any idea the safest/bike way to get from here to the White Rock Lake Trail riding my bike? I am bad at transporting it by car. BTW--this channel literally helped me pick where I want to live next to Katey when I moved here 2 years ago.

Am enjoying your videos. I live south of DFW and am looking forward to getting up to some of these trails soon - when the weather breaks. I have a new recumbent e-assist trike. Two questions…. What is that horn/alarm? on the left side of your handlebar? What is that trail map/gps that is mounted in front?

NTCOG has a master plan for a full on "Veloweb" and I hope someday to ride all over DFW by pathway. I grew up in Dallas but now live too far north to commute by bike to these wonderful pathways. One of these days I plan to drive down and ride some of these trails. HOwever, some of the parking look a little sketchy to leave my truck. Thanks to your video looks like it may be safe to park next to Irving Police station for Campion. Still trying to figure out where to park for Northaven. Thanks for posting!
@trailscout45372 жыл бұрын
for Northaven trail parking, take royal west from 75, turn right on freda stern drive, there is a small lot just for the trail. there are also parking lots in royal park; between royal lane and townsend drive , just west of cromwell drive. theres another trail parking lot on pensive drive just north of ponder drive.

I started at Trinity View Park, along highway 356 and just east of loop 12. They now have a bridge at this park to a new trail that connects to the Trinity Skyline Trail. As an alternative you get get to it at Lone Star Cricket Grounds located in 'Trinity River Mountain Creek - Dallas County Nature Preserve'
