Everybody likes saying the throttle body will freeze, but thats only if you live in places that see sub 0 temps often like Canada or Russia, to fight condensation which in turn freezes the blade closed when the car turns off or the pressure change which lowers temps even more in the throttle under load for periods of time causing the blade to freeze open . In most of the USA a car warms up quick enough even with the coolant lines off because heat still rises and radiates enough under the hood to warm the throttle body efficiently with out it being 200°. I had my car's coolant lines deleted for yrs ... winters of 10° days, never had an issue... infact compared to my friends who had the same car i never had to change my throttle body sensor and i had it for 12yrs. Removing the ones off my current car this weekend. Ppl like to nay say because they read something on google without knowing all the details or checking if their opinion is valid for the situation half of you never even changed your own oil. Nice video man good job

Ironhead 4 speeds trannys are no more trouble than any other vintage piece of machinery. Put together correctly by the book you can get many years of reliable service. I mean "by the book". That means get a Harley factory manual for your model and follow the instructions. No guessing allowed.

I remember going through that with my 76. Took a lot of tries and some choice words. I think I had a spare 82 transmision that i swapped gears and got it to shift to 3 and 4.Double check your gears and make sure they are all in good shape. From what I hear , Ironhead Transmissions are trouble. Good luck.

Mobile one oil is just as good it has my engine just as clean for less.
@TravisRummer
@TravisRummer 3 ай бұрын
@Smokedog1968 I agree, Mobil one is a great oil and it will keep your engine clean. The HMX "cleaned" my engine. I bought it with 85,000 miles and it wasn't well maintained. Sludge buildup was bad and it was black and crusty looking. The detergents in the Royal Purple HMX removed all that. I wish I had taken pictures or video. I'll find a way to demonstrate how well it can clean sludge and baked on oil.

I have a response for you, get over yourself. I’ve lived on a highway for 30 years now. Traffic has increased exponentially since I moved in. And with that increase in traffic so has the speed and amount of fatality accidents. I have people ride up my a** all the time as I make a right turn into my driveway, creating a dangerous situation. You are probably the impatient type of man who will not stop when children get on or off the bus. Or you’re the guy who gets upset when the garbage truck stops to pick up my trash. God forbid you have to slow down for the mail man. Get over it, I’ll make right turns into my home of 30 years as safely as I can for me and mine.
