This man doesn't seem to be well read. For those who think he is right remember in five to ten years that he says that renewables make electricity cheaper. (Or just ask yourself why "cheap" renewables need subsidy, and what the cost of energy back up and maintaining grid stability will be).

Petroleum isn't a fossil fuel, its Abiotic and produced in the Earth's Mantle under extreme heat and pressure in a continuous natural cycle and forced up through fissures in the Earth's Crust. Its the second most prevalent liquid on the planet and won't be running out for an awfully long long long long long time , now bugger off.

The shareholders, eg pension funds, should have questioned the accounts of Thames Water. Especially as the company was borrowing to pay the dividends. The man from Kings College is wrong to entirely blame privatisation. Eg Vodafone and Jaguar are success stories.

Water, the stuff life cannot exist without, and Brits were cretinous enough to not only privatize it, but put it in the control of dictactorships, one of which in particular (China) really hates its guts. She did it. She takes the blame. And as always the tories take the money out of the system and labour when they DO get elected have higher priority spending plans than to spend billions buying back what was sold a few years before for millions. Same with forestry, BA, gas , electric, rail, post office, parcel force, Prisons, etc etc. never trust a Tory!!
