Very effective pressure/flexion point. I use for cervical muscle stability & CT junction stability while lifting heavy weights. It’s not something to take for granted. Dumbbell side raises, shrugs & other neck exercises. It’ll save you from misalignment. I also adapt it from reiki as a communicable pressure point for general civility compliance reflections working socially with others since it somewhat promotes a natural smile deterring the unnecessary negative propensities from others suspicions at my stature. Neurosis is a B-word. 👍🏻 I get down with the minis no different than the Sicilian vs The Dread Pirate Robert’s. Me with mine🧠, you with yours Brawny Man. The stair down mind offensives come the worst from 60yr old ladies who look like they should be running a library or flower nectar essence distillery.

Don’t go with the plastic style nose strips. They can’t handle water or grease your nose produces throughout the day. I had to replace those strips 4 days each day. The band-Aid style is a lot better but still 1-3 times a day is expensive. Plus they ruin photos! I’d go with the internal cones or dilator. You can find soft styles and they are washable

Watching myofunctional therapy videos have caused me hyperawareness OCD which has been going on for about a year. The main issue here is that these things should be learned when you are a baby / young kid and not in your adulthood. Swallowing and tongue posture should be automatic processes and not something you have to think about constantly.

hey.. , in one of your videos, you mentioned that if someone has TMJ problems, MMA surgery might make it worse. I’ve had multiple consultations, and none of the surgeons mentioned this. In fact, I’ve been told that since my mandible is retrognathic, advancing it will create a better condyle-to-fossa relationship and is likely to eliminate TMJD. but in scan there is mild degeneration of condyle on one side. Could you please share your knowledge on this? Thanks!

If you choose a surgeon from an other country and he doesn't seem to want to cooperate with your local orthodontist and he doesn't want to make your treatment plan from a distance and he tells you that he is going decide for the exact procedures from up close when you come to the country..... Is this how it's supposed to be or is it something that has to concern you?
@allsleepashley2 ай бұрын
Great question. My initial thoughts without knowing any of the details of your story are that it's important for the surgeon and the orthodontist to work together when preparing for jaw surgery (especially during surgical planning -- the orthodontist needs to know where they need to put your teeth based on the surgical plan). Based on what I've seen, it seems quite typical for a surgeon to require they see a patient in person to make their surgical plan. Many are quite particular in how they take their imaging, collect their planning data, etc. Some will create a "draft" surgical plan without seeing you in person based on the records you provide them. I've never seen this "draft" used as a final surgical plan. It's tough to say if your scenario raises concern to me because I don't know the whole story. I hope the above information helps you navigate the situation, though!

Hi, how long can we expect it to take to become natural for us to have our tongue properly suctioned and in the right position after we have begun training ourselves to rest our tongue that way? I find my tongue resting with a little bit of the perimeter wanting to squeeze out through my teeth but I am able to properly suction my tongue when I remember to.
@allsleepashley2 ай бұрын
It sounds like you may need to work on narrowing your tongue in order to train a better suction/fit the tongue fully within the palate without it overflowing onto the biting surface of your teeth. Or it may be that your palate is too narrow. I recommend ruling out the narrowing issue before deciding it's a narrow palate issue. As for how long, it depends on your starting point, what you're doing to train a suction, and what volume of those things you are doing in a given amount of time.

You know i had a conversation with prof. John mew (aka orthotropics and mewing founder) There is a video of him with his son dr mike mew, they both had debate but they are unsure what back they are talking about, john mew thought other back mike mew thought another back, becuz back of the tongue doesn't make sense as tongue goes all the way to trachea, so there should be an animation or some pictures to better understand that what people talk the actual back 3rd of tongue.. And John mew said Mike and I could never agree on what was the back of the tongue. I think it is the wrong word to use as the back of the tongue goes all the way down to the Trachea. Prof John Mew.

@TheOneAboveAll22 ай бұрын
@@allsleepashley not yet but we have an idea of where should the entire tongue rest, the tip should be on rugae and the dorsum of tongue should be behind the junction of hard and soft palate (in easy words it should be in the middle as I understand)

Hello, hope this comment won't be removed like the others and you'll read it. In an old video you said that cheeks should be sucked in during saliva suction and I naturally do it (without biting them obviously). Many people say I shouldn't and I want to ask you if you could you explain me if and why sucking my cheeks in (in a very slight way) is normal. Thank you very very much
@allsleepashley2 ай бұрын
Hello. The buccinator muscles of the cheeks should contract during the oral phase of the swallow to help keep food/liquid out of the space between your teeth and cheek and to move food/liquid toward the back of your mouth in coordination with the tongue. This contraction will typically look like a subtle pulling in of the cheeks. It should not look like the cheeks are puffing outward.

My natural tongue position is on my teeth without any pressure so my palette is narrow would resting the tip of my tongue behind my teeth in the proper area even if i wasn't actually resting the 2nd and 3rd part be a good way to start so only tip of the tongue behind teeth correctly but not the rest because i can only do that and I've been trying to swallow correctly would that eventually make it easier so that i can do it correctly? I don't want to end up with more issues but differently need to start slowly
