Hey man. I am thinking of moving to Cairns from Canada. Could I ask you, do you think the locals are very annoyed when new people move in and don’t want anything to do with them? Like do people not enjoy talking to the tourists and backpackers in Cairns? I love fishing man, also nice Jungle Perch!! The places looks legendary for fishing.

As long as your rod can handle thicker line casting you should be right having heavier leader like 30lb on 20lb main line or something

I'd recommend having a look at saltwater creek which runs through manunda and edge hill.

I'd suggest saltwater creek in manoora, also to fish at the cairns Esplanade and the pier next to the marlin marina which is also next to the Esplanade boardwalk

I’ve got a Bung knee and just got out of a surgery so it’s a bit of a struggle to get down to the waters edge. Plus I have to thrown them in a this spot because it’s a croc zone.
