This intro juxtaposed to the next song, the rocker "Hang On" is both creative and a great opening to this gem of an album. I listen to Brad Craig and wonder if a tree falls in an forest and no one hears it does that mean the record industry is corrupt in its ability to find and promote talent. I ask myself, how many Brad Craigs are out there?

@@BradCraig I reorganized my little hack home studio and added a patchbay (Samson S-Patch) so I can now easily use my interface (FocusRite Saffire Pro40) with a channel strip (ART Voice Channel), compressor (ART PRO VLA II), mic pre (Audient MiCO and PreSonus Tube Pre V2) and my Eleven Rack. Also, now my drum machines and Korg microStation can easily be patched in. So that should keep me busy.

@@Fezzler61 That's not what I'd call a hack studio - sounds like some very cool gear, now neatly laid out! If you saw *my* current setup...well, temporary chaos would be a generous description!

Mr. Brad, by any chance have you record the attacks as well?
@BradCraig5 ай бұрын
No, I didn't think to start recording until after both towers were down. I was mostly worried about continued attacks, which thankfully didn't happen, and taking care of my two year old daughter. Her mother was stuck in Manhattan.

Everyone has a 9/11 story, right? I was in Boston for a seminar. At the hotel on 9/11, there was a fire alarm at 3-4 a.m. We had to leave our rooms and go down the stairways. Didn't think anything of it at the time. After the planes hit, I tried to get out of Boston and head back to my wife and three young children in Indiana. Well, as you know, all planes were grounded. And, there were no rental cars to be had. I finally got a rental car on the morning of the 12th and decided to drive back to Indiana. I just wanted to be with my family. My parents lived in Monmouth County, NJ, so I would drive there first and spend the night. I will never forget travelling down I-95 south and making my way to the George Washington Bridge. Travelling west on the bridge I was the only car. Unbelievable. And coming toward me in the other direction was a caravan of huge earth movers like they use in coal mines. HUGE. As I headed south on I-95 in North Jersey I could see lower Manhattan smoldering. I later learned my home town, Middletown, NJ, lost more people than any other town and that alarm in my hotel at 3-4 a.m. in Boston, it was someone letting some of the hijackers in the building.

The stealer amp is amazing. I've built an awesome Texas blues tone around this amp. The plugins I use are: a preamp based on a certain Neve preamp, the Stealer itself with cab sim turned off, a third party 4x12 G12m-25 IR, TS808, Fender convolution reverb, and custom EQ settings for my headphones, and the sound I get is pure eargasm The feel under the fingers is sooo good as well.

3 dimensional wood body. That guitar should be showcased at the Centre of Arts feature wall in a glass case when it's not in use. Since I'm a very gentle player, no hacking at my guitars, perhaps it could be entrusted to me to have and to hold till death do us part.

Brad is the Sgear preset for this song online any where? Nice sweet tone guy.
@BradCraig4 жыл бұрын
It's one of the stock Stealer presets with a few tweaks. Unfortunately I don't remember which one, but I just ran through a few, and "JB Blues", with the delay around 380, delay mix around 1.5, and the "vintage spring" reverb, sounds pretty close. I've also got the guitar volume backed off on a lot of it, and the tone backed off on some of it... Thanks!
