This is very sad, my 92 grandmother was in and out of hospital 10 times this year and I was told she had advanced dementia!!!! It turned out to be an untreated UTI infection and wrong medications, this is exactly how she was!!! Unfortunately, by the time the hospital started appropriate treatment for infection, she fell out of hospital bed causing bleeding on the brain! She died a couple of weeks later I can never forgive the NHS and our own GPs! It seems that there not bothered when you reach a certain age

Has the NHS observed any difference in morbidity/mortality outcomes since the implementation of its eFI? Dr. Clegg mentioned a substantial number or referrals for falls prevention and medication review. How does this compare with prior to eFI use?

& do question it ! read just a little about advancing Dementia & Delirium !!! Stool Impaction, infection, medications, tons of things can increase a demented persons distorted magnified delirium.Doctors & Nursing home staff push "put them into a nursing home" R E A L hard ! Do what you want to do.Use Palliative/Hospice if you have to,get testing done on urine, meds, full blood panel,teeth,impaction/constipation,second opinions.Chances are it did NOT advance like this in 2 days, it can but probably not.You will not make any friends when you don't just "go with the doctor physician,NH staff flow" half the time they have an interest in "Just put them in a nursing home" don't be pushed around ! Exhaust your options..You'll know when to stop on your loved one.
