I just connected mine directly to the back of the washing machine. Is that bad?

@@NeilDeluca Actually, my washer is on a pedestal and is very far from the water source in a very small room with a dryer. It would’ve been impossible to get to the filter to remove it unless you were Ant-man that’s why it’s on the washer. But that’s cool, right?

PURE GENIUS! MY MAYTAG JUST CRAPPED OUT. THANKS TO KZbin, I FOUND THOSE SMALL FILTERS ON THE WASHING MACHINE HOSE THAT NEEDED CLEANING. NICE, BECAUSE A REPAIRMAN TRIP OUT HERE IN THE BOONIES WOULD COST 185 $$$ JUST TO TRAVEL TO MY HOUSE AND WHO KNOWS WHAT HE'D SOAK ME FOR. AGAIN ... THANKS

Only needed on the cold water feed. I wouldn’t do the hot water as hot water will deteriorate the sediment and the hot water could deteriorate the plastic. The cold water feed is where sediment builds up. Glad this helped! Not a single issue since I installed. I’d recommend shutting off water every 6 months and cleaning out the cold water filter.

I take those filter water saver things out 🤷 let it flow lol only problem its on my clothes

Hello,did you put one on the hot too?What is the model number of the washer?

I did but I would recommend not doing it as it’s not needed on the hot water and the hot water can deteriorate the plastic over time. The cold water is where minerals will build up

This will work with any washer as it uses standard washing machine fittings, but this machine is a Speed Queen Model AWN43RSN115TW01

Does this remove iron? I have a large home water filtration system already. But, I still have an issue with my washing machine. Thanx if you have an answer 🦋
