Deck looks good. A few recommendations I'd have are replacing a few basic lands with things like Grasslands & Krosan Verge to help you thin out the deck and draw fewer lands overall. You aren't playing a super fast deck, so I think you don't mind the drawback too much of them entering tapped. I'd switch sanctify for another destroy artifact/enchant spell with a better upside/lower cost/more versatile card. A few options could be Requisition Raid, Nature's Claim, Broken Bond, Atraxa's Fall or Banishing Slash. Plummet is just a bad card honestly. It's too narrow an effect and there are other cards that are objectively better (ex. Atraxa's Fall does the same + 3 other types for same cmc). Ivory tower is a weird card to see, because you don't really have that much heavy card draw to gain all that much from having it. I'd also add a bit of target removal, because I feel you are a little much all in on your own strategy and can't really stop someone else from doing their thing. Having not much ramp to outspeed, I think you need a bit more removal in case your opponent plays a must remove (ex. a magus of the moat would almost stop you dead in your tracks with few ways of dealing with it). Maybe look into some of the fight cards since you expect your creatures to be high power/toughness. But overall a pretty cool deck!

No problem! I think the most important thing is playing cards you enjoy/find cool. I feel like some cards don't necessarily fit your strategy, ex both planewalkers, but you seemed real hyped about them so that's more important imo than building the strongest possible deck. I've got a few pet cards I'm always trying to add to my decks even if they don't really fit like dosan & rubblehulk xD

@@allo-kun a lot of my decks aren't as optimized as they could be, but they all have cards, like these Planeswalkers, that I truly enjoy putting into play for the interesting bonus they give to the deck's plan (Elspeth giving flying to my creatures for example)...I am really glad to have your input though as there are also always a few cards I could cut from a deck that were added simply because I felt they could be useful not knowing better cards exist. I will likely remove the plummet and the ivory tower at some point for some of the cards that you suggested 👍💖

Lutri was a free autoinclude companion card for izzet since its criteria for the deck was each nonland card could only have one copy in the deck.

I'm a little disappointed that you are a casual budget player, have been hit by bans before and still feel this way. If one actually loves the game, and it's better for the format, it's a bandaid that must be ripped. Much more games and feel bads were created by these cards being played, and makes the game better for all future players. Competitive players know the drill: they will try to use every card to break the game, if they succeed, it might be banned. This will never not be the case for cards games. If its not, it's because the game is unmanaged and would lose players for that reason. No game designer is perfect, and you would also commit mistakes in their place. You have thousands of cheap cards to play with, just stay away from high end ones.

I appreciate the feedback 💖. In all honesty, I find it interesting how willing players are to forgive game developers for putting out overpowered cards without considering their ramifications in the first place. As a person who has been working on their own game (on and off) for the past 2 years, trying to work out all of the bugs and balance issues before I move on to the next stage of development, I feel that companies like Wizards of the Coast should be held to account for their mistakes (such as Nadu and jeweled lotus) rather than be permitted to profit from them. Where I am especially annoyed about this though is that the RC, rather than banning these cards when they initially started talking about it, allowed Wizards (at least it seems this way) to dictate when they could put the bans into place so that more copies of these highly sought after cards could be reprinted to boost the sales of two of their recent sets. While I do love this game, I have greater sympathy for the players who actually take part in and invest their hard earned cash into it. We can debate the necessity of bans (and may have to agree to disagree regarding them), but the shady practices that went into these bans in particular deserve to be called out for what they are. Furthermore, if they truly were doing this for the game, then Sol Ring and other sources of fast mana should also have been targeted (and their "iconic" status should not be an excuse for keeping them around). Finally, consulting Wizards and not the CAG makes this look extra scummy, particularly given what Wizards chose to do with that information (ie make these chase cards to accelerate their profits knowing full well that the market and their players would take the hit down the road). I am sorry you feel disappointed by my opinions, but I am more sorry for you if you can accept a reality where profits should come before the players (especially in a game that the players designed for themselves).

MDFC is a specific type of double sided card. Modal double-faced cards. They are cards where you decide when you play the card which side of the card to play. Other double side cards you need to transform after playing them to have access to the back-side. You can tell a card is an MDFC if it has the symbol with two triangles in the top left, or a card name with mana cost on the bottom right.

They definitely are solid for pauper...however I am still pulling at least 2-3 cards each video that I am able to fit into one of my decks so they are worth it to me as a newer player

Hold up, To get Ho-oh don’t you gotta catch and purify all the shadow Pokémon in the game first? And it has to be Colosseum Battle “Mt.Battle Vs 100”. Also nice video 🎶 Niniask using Shadow Ball is crazy 😱

This game holds a lot of memories . I remember getting Ho-oh after beating the MT.Battle Challenge. Back then accomplishments like those were so unique 🎶 awesome upload 👍

I remember it was a snow day for me and I got to stay home from school. That gave me the opportunity to complete what was left of Mt.Battle, and get Ho-oh. And then I immediately traded it to Sapphire then transferred it to Diamond Via Pal Park. Then showed it off to my friends lol.

I really like goad because it's one of the few ways you can break the state where everyone has a large board, but no one attacks because the fear of the crackback. Another positive thing it does is force people to actually put their creatures in risks way. Often people will play a creature and use it like an enchantment. They play it for it's static or triggered ability and will never attack or block with it because it's too valuable to them. Forcing them to attack with their creatures makes it harder for people to play solitaire style ultra value/combo oriented creatures which I'm for

At ~8:30 in, the reason for it is that triggered abilities that are on cards (when you X or whenever X happens) are generally static effects. For them to start "looking" for the trigger, they need to already be on the battlefield. The only real exception to this I can think off the top of my head is cards that specify when you cast {this}, do X (ex. The og eldrazi titans like ulamog, the ceaseless hunger)
