I found these years ago you had amazing videos. Enjoyed watching and listening to what you had to say. Not sure why you stopped making them.or took others down but they were good and unique in a way. You had a good channel

As much as I liked another one of your videos, this is almost grotesque. You cannot be an INTJ and say all these things, it’s almost like you’re reproducing somebody else’s advice. And why 12 beliefs? What’s with people’s obsession with this number? You don’t happen to like Peterson’s 12 rules for life, do you? 😄

What about the enneagram which plays a deeper role in defining what holds us back, basic desires, basic fears! Different flavors of INTJ uniqueness! I'm an Intj type 8 with a tritype 854 ! I feel I'm two people! I can lead a whole army without even slightly second guessing myself , motivating groups of people comes so naturally to me! I take charge of a room when i want to in seconds! I can be quite emotional! and then i can be extremely introverted detached investigative philosophical artistic and dreamy! I believe one's enneagram composition reveals the true colors of our personality while mbti merely reveals the distribution of conscious and unconscious brain activity! and btw I'm curious do Intj females smile more often or did you force that smile in your profile picture?

It's funny how some INTJs, no matter how Se-rich their early lives are, still develop their Ni first... yet other "INTJs" don't develop their Ni until later in life. It seems like the kind of thing that happens to an ISFP who has convinced themselves they're an INTJ.

First time commenting on KZbin. I am an intj, probably. Saw your video some time ago. Then come back today to search for it. Just want to thank you for this piece of information. You must be on other project and may never see my comment. No problem. Just want to give back my appreciation. Thank you Amy, good luck with whatever you are doing right now and take care.

I really love how you explained it and helped me detangle the questions I had compared to a lot of videos that made me doubt this whole MBTI thing, funny thing is that I completely understand the INTJ mindset and is the driving force but is it weird that I'm addicted to the high of extroverted senses and is the drive for me to make this world somewhat better, maybe it be just my neighbor with her grocery bags....ahh lol im on one..I usually say the universe has the plan and things are meant to be because they are based on your actions...

i sometimes will do things unconciously in response to strong emotions, like jumping or clapping my hands when excited, biting my nails or a pen when i'm anxious, ect. I also get sensory overload quite easily, always start dancing and smiling unconciously whenever i hear a song i like, i have very poor self control when i deal with difficult emotions (i get agressive and start crying snd shouting when mad, i binge eat when stressed out, ect), i am almost always horrible at multitasking and focusing my attention on more than one thing at once and i sometimes say or do things i regret when i reach my low point (major depressive episode). I am quite the introverted person usually and want things to go a certain way, i am always entertained with my own thoughts and ideas and i often just ignore the real world, so i am not surprised i have always tested as an INTJ and from what i have seen in forums and comments it seems the instances i have mentioned previously of "strange" behaviour might have been inferior Se, i also sometimes just need to experience something for my Ni to start it's things or else i have nothing to analyze and draw conclussions from, so Se sometimes also comes just out of boredom as i have nothing to put my focus on. All i can say is sometimes i regret any circunstance where i reacted in a more impulsove manner than i would usually and end saying "WTF that's not me". I can also relate to the notion of starting to develop more my Ni and startingto repress my Se at a certain age. When i was a kid while i still preffered being with my thoughts a lot and breaking down concepts and ideas to their core, i also had way more friends and was more outgoing and spontaneus, however when i was around 11 or 12, i started telling people i needed more time to be alone and think things through.

Hello, not certain to be an INTJ. But i'm Me for sure! And I don't understimate my capacity to use Se. I simply don't know how or don't want to use it even if i can understand the concept. Odk. But i noticed that i use Se, excessively, when i'm not feeling well. How to improve Se as an inferior function ?

I really identify with this as an INTJ. I do turn into an ESFP when I'm in an environment that demands it, for an extended period of time. I've often wondered about it... like, how did I become a completely different person for a short period of time? Not acting different on purpose, but actually different. I'd like to know more about this phenomenon, but there's precious little information about it on the interwebs.

INTJ's like to think about all the possibilities, both positive and negative. I guess I have learned over the years that a lot of people don't like to consider any negative possibilities, and (unfairly, I think) make INTJ's out to be cynical, or overly-fearful. Working out the risks/benefits to me is just something I need to work out.. it's prep work (preparation). If I don't think through the positive AND NEGATIVE, I feel like I'm just running into something unplanned. It is unfair to make this out to be a negative thing. From my perspective, refusing to consider negative possible consequences does not make somebody more cheerful or "positive", but makes them inadequately prepared... foolish, if you want my less diplomatic opinion.

I've recently learned about this quality of looking at negatives. When others don't see them though, we can over emphasize the negatives and have less faith in the positives. In some cases, it can greatly reduce the optimism of others, which can be devastating to them. It's important to find the balance, which takes care and practise- something that isn't naturally shown by INTJs.

@@AmyMBTIvideos Yes, I think you're right about that. Looking back in some episodes where this has been an issue, I can see that when I tried to present positive and negative in balanced way, I have gotten frustrated at people dismissing or kind of attacking the negative considerations. In an effort to keep the discussion balanced, I responded by emphasizing the negatives I thought weren't being considered... suddenly I was the negative guy, when what I started out wanting was just a balanced discussion. Repeat this enough times, and you become regarded as the cynical negative guy, when all you ever wanted was a fair consideration of all views. :\
