That poor rental😂 you guys definitely got your money’s worth, I know those washboard roads, and Lippencott😂 this is why you should never purchase a vehicle that has been a rental😂😂😂

Where they camped below sea level is this video is ILLEGAL. Do not do this. You can disperse camp in a lot of Death Valley Natl Park, but not in any location in the valley bottom.

Good to point out that anyone planning to dispearsed camp in the national park should know, and be up to date on all current rules. I believe they are going to be instituting an online permit system going forward. That campsite was along trail canyon road, far enough towards mountians to be out of the designated no camping zone that makes up the valley floor. However it may not have actually been below sea level that was just an assumption I made while editing the video

@@skunkersoutdoors5120 I was referring to around 12:40. It does look like Trail Canyon Road. If you are more than one mile from the West Side Road, its all good. And you are right, that would be above sea level. Link to current rules. www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/backcamp.htm

Racetrack Playa is absolutely worth the annoying road drive. Typically badly washboard, plus a lot of the road climbs an alluvial fan which are always bumpy.
@dmbeaster

Washboard roads result from a lot of use and inadequate maintenance in the form of blading the road to smooth it out. Vehicles create the washboarding.

Can't fly drones in Death Valley.

True... all drone footage inside the park for this video I got from a stock footage website and was not captured by myself. Anyone planning on visiting should know that you cannot fly drones in any national park unless the National Park Service grants a permit first. While I enjoy drone footage for its ability to show the scale and wonder of a location, some places need to be kept untouched for people to enjoy undistracted.

Nice camera work! The night shots were impressive. We were there at the end of January 2023 in the southern part-Trona Pinnacles, Mengel Pass, Badwater Basin and ending up in Lone Pine. It was crazy cold. Too bad Titus Canyon was closed due to the floods in August of 2022. Now with more flooding later in 2023, not sure when parts of the park will open.

Interesting petroglyph think it says that 3 warriors entered chasing mt goats, and two died from heatstroke and the remaining hunter killed 3 more goats, it is a warning to stay out of the valley, would be my guess

beautiful video and editing work! did your drone have a problem taking off from the park? I brought mine a few years back and it took off fine, but not sure if DJI will prevent you from taking off if you are within the geofence of a national park.

That spot was somewhere along Trail Canyon road. Its in the main valley across from Badwater Basin and Devils golf course. The road heads up into a mountain canyon and there are several spots where people have camped before. We got there later in the day and alot of the spots were occupied already but they are very far apart so when we did find one it still felt very secluded. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a good trip!

I fish the Madison Chain. I've heard tell of some VERY large Carp around here (possibly mis-IDd Buffalo, of course). My biggest so far is 24.5. I catch 8-12 over 20 LB each season. Nearly 3 tons in 2022. So much fun. Little buggers NEVER fail to give you a battle, even when they are small. Such a great way to make the most of your time on the water, long as you don't care that they're not the best to eat. I give them away as often as I can, or just turn them loose to hopefully get up over 30 LB someday.

We are big fans of catching some monster carp, a lot of people don't like the fact that we release them but they have been around in our lakes and rivers for so long the other aquatic life and the Wisconsin DNR have all made other adjustments for them being around. Just an absolute blast getting one of these big mommas hooked on the end of your line!!! Have some big carp in our sights for this years ice season, if we can make it happen we are hoping to get a decent video out there of it! Tight lines man!
@herbsuperb6034
@herbsuperb6034 2 жыл бұрын
@@skunkersoutdoors5120 Yeah. Same argument I use. At least 2 or 3 times each season, I'll run into somebody claiming it is illegal to release carp, which it's not. If it ever was in Wisconsin, it was decades ago. Common Carp are no longer invasive, they are naturalized. All the other fish that people love to catch eat TONS of baby carp. I can't abide people that just leave them on the bank to die after catching them, but it does happen.
@Warmenlt
@Warmenlt 6 ай бұрын
Not a best ,but good eating ,if you know how to prepare and the best cooking method for them, it goes the same with most with any other food. One of the best ways to eat carp is to use pressure canner, muddy taste and bones are gone.
