Happy this place is still open! I haven’t been in New Hope in probably 10 years (I’m 44) but this store, since I was a kid, has always been my favorite. It’s the best thrift store that ever was and when I was a teenager I used to love buying old skirted psychedelic bathing suits from here and fixing them up to wear as skirts (with the bonus of having a layer underneath incase i flashed anyone accidentally. I would hand sew an old piece of clothing of mine into the crotch after scrubbing the whole thing so nothing touched me that would creep me out LOL. I would also buy vintage pins and make them into bold big necklaces and oh don’t even get me started on the old slips… It was a little pricey there but worth it and compared with buying my clothes on South Street it was cheap. Compared to buying furniture across the bridge it was free! But as so many of my old favorites are just poof! Gone, it’s great to see one that isn’t. Now only if the Village Thrift in Olney was still around….
