handline must be placed property, lineman must use it correctly,

added advantage of capacitors is a voltage boost ...one or two volts most of the time ...depends where and how they are positioned on the line.

Where to use delta delta connection?

Are u expected to handline transformers? Or do they use equipment for that
@brother_marzooq90973 ай бұрын
No. There is a transformer jib that is sent up to you from a handline. You then attach that to the pole and then are sent up a rope pulley that allows the Groundsman to raise the transformer up to the position of where you are attaching it.

So glad they copied cynch lock and change the design. The first style was trash

Interesting, but not the least bit useful, because it doesn't really explain the principles or rationale. It's more about norms (with several exceptions), as if high-voltage electrical systems are like ornithology.

Use a load buster on all capacitor banks , fixed and switched. Being that an oil switch is not a visual open. Never trust and switch without a visual open. On a switched bank operate unit to open verify open on switch i indicators then use load buster to open cutouts. Wait 5 minutes then bleed off any stored voltage with a ground.

You can use two bushing delta pots on a wye system. It all depends on the transformers required system voltage. Our system is 7620/13.2Y and we have transformers that require 13.2 so they get 2 primary connections. And we have single phase 7629 pots that are conventional 2 bushing pots . It all depends on the system voltage and the required voltage of that transformer. I’ve worked on systems that were grounded wye on the main line and all the fused laterals were 2 phase delta with no neutral. Key thing is pay attention to system voltage and required voltages of the equipment being installed.

We also use a neutral tester. Don’t trust the dials on the controller. With line side energized and load side port we test across line side and load side and cycle the unit through its steps and verify proper operation. Then we verify 0. After verification of tester working and that the unit operates properly then we tie in load side.

Question: On the wye primary single bushing 3 phase configuration. What would happen if the GROUND connection to the EARTH became disconnected? I see no parallel neutral back to the substation? PS. wonderful presentation.

Can the DISTRIBUTION system have a three phase three wire DELTA system WITH NO Neutral (back to the substation) and use a single BUSHING transformer with a CASE GROUNG ? This possibly not covered in the video? thank you

Forward slash. not back slash on the voltages.

given enough voltage (pressure) it will conduct?
@gmccambry5963 Жыл бұрын
@@tedlahm5740 Yes, that is reason they manufacture different class of ppe. At certain potential an insulator could become conductor.
