I've just read an extended account of the atrocities that were committed by the S.S. and still found them books funnier than any of stewart lees attempts at comedy.
I feel like a bad mother because I want to learn all this only so that I'm able to teach my son and be able to endure his storytelling? 😭 My son is a big talker and I find it nearly impossible to keep up because of the delivery. ... I know there's more work I need to do on myself as far as becoming more patient and tolerant but still I worry about how this'll affect his future relationships with others.

Went to See him Christchurch N.Z. in the late 80's. Show started at 7:30. We were still gradually getting to the end of the Starting story around 11:30pm after so many hilarious tangents taken along the way. We ran out of tears from laughing so hard around 10pm. Absolutely the funniest show I have ever witnessed!!! Billy is my all time favorite Scotsman ever!

I had not even heard of this guy before I stumbled on this page. But having watched a few clips, I would comment that I don't find him particularly funny. On the contrary, after a couple of minutes, I found his manic and disjointed style of delivery intensely annoying. I don't doubt he is popular with a lot of people, but that probably says more about the level of intellect of the audiences these days - probably heading in the direction of the demographics depicted in the film "Idiocracy" (Google it if you aren't familiar with the film or its premise).

I cannot commend you enough for the quality of your videos, but you including my favorite joke of all time with Gary Gulman’s Civic was out of gas joke was absolutely elite. I play that bit on Spotify like it’s a song

I watched Guy's special because you put out a video about him - terrific recommendation! I fucking adore him now. I love the format of interviews between you and other comedians who are (in my mind, at least) a little more obscure, talking craft.

The metaphysical concept of brevity has let itself go. This video could have been a 1 minute TikTok. You don't need to beat around the bush. Just give it to me straight like a pear cider that's made from a hundred percent pears.

This completely cracked the code (or picked the Sean Lock) for me. Some comedians always stick to the highway while others are off-roaders. Sean turned up looking like your buddy's dad giving you ride, but in this case you never knew when the journey was about to take a sharp turn and blaze an uncharted path through some thick woods. If a wild character comes on stage, then you expect the unexpected. No one was ever prepared for Sean. Not knowing if or when to expected the unexpected is a form of 4-dimensional chess that is scarier than when Mr. Jangles goes up the stairs.

Sorry everyone, he's just a prentious twat. That wasn't what Brecht had in mind at all. And all these hyperbole bollocks about being the best stand-up. Well, if you leave feeling sickened and unsettled, rather than having a cathartic belly laugh, then I am certain you've wasted your time, and money (which probably means fuck all to this entitled prick).

And all the time i thought the point was to be funny and make people laugh. Clearly I got this wrong. We are supposed to dissect everything for meaning. Personally i don't want to have to think that hard about comedy. Its meant to be fun, an escape. Something is either funny or its not. If I'm sitting there analyzing it, then its not done its job

Dont think I didnt notice Bo Burnhams song in the background, if comedians did team ups on shows, id love to see acaster and burnham do a show together.
