Hi. I have all three of these and they are very nice Bibles. So glad they revived the RSV as well. God bless and have a joyous Christmas season.

Brand new to learning Greek. If I work through Mounces Greek/workbook/videos plus take two semesters of Greek at my seminary, would than be to the point where I could read this?

Yes you could, probably even before you finish it all you could start. When learning the big thing is to work at it every day, I recommend when you first learn to pronounce words to just start reading and as you learn more you can actually start going for understanding.

Hi great vid, do you think you could measure the length and width of this bible and share that? I am debating on wether i want to get one or not and the main thing im worried about is the size. I own a premium esv verse by verse reference bible and think it is too big to carry. Thanks

It is 6in wide and 9in tall

Beautiful Bible. I love the Heritage format - reminds me of the Clarion, but better because the text is further out of the gutter. I rarely use cross-references. That price though! I might grab a Trutone edition when they release them next February.

I agree there it is very high, I think because of the format the truetone will sell really well.

I only wish Crossway's non-premium paper was a bit better. The opacity on a lot of their non-premium Chinese printed Bibles kind of stinks. It's frustrating to have to choose either very mediocre paper or super expensive, with nothing between.@@Bible_Tidbits

Great overview. Thanks. Now, this version or the goatskin?

I have a few goat skin Bibles and they are nice but I definitely prefer this one personally.

The leather is the same as the Horween. It's chromexcel. I have the thinline in Horween. I didn't like it when I pulled it out of the box. Breaking it in changed it radically. It's floppy and feels amazing. It will always be a little stiff compared to goatskin because it's so thick. You can easily buff out scratches once it breaks in.

Thanks for a helpful review! I was wondering about the differences between the Wellington and the Horween but it sounds like they're very similar. For a premium single column ESV, I also like the Schuyler Treveris. But I think I might like the Heirloom Heritage a bit better, though I wish it had some color (e.g. red accents) like the Treveris does. Great Bible regardless!

The thing that steered me away from the Treveris was the verse numbers being off to the side. I think it would be good for a readers Bible but I prefer to have my verses in the text since they do not bother me.
