Nope! The best sounding exhaust on a V8, is a wide open one, aka “Cat Back-Straight Pipe”. With 3 or 4 inch wide, 14-16 inch long stainless tips.

Huge upgrade in sound for the VQ! I love the rasp and pops it makes! Super aggressive sounding on track! It’s made a huge difference. Thank you Borla 🥹🥹🥹

Literally pair this with 3 inch full down pipes and it sounds exactly like a GTR. Literally rumbles like one without any effort. Warning tho, with full downpipes the car becomes 2x-3x louder. 😂 didn’t except the cats to quite the exhaust down by that much.

Hi! We have a system for the FL5 Type R as well and they will sound the same. Please note, the Civic Type R and Integra Type S exhaust systems are not interchangeable. We have a specific system for the Civic Type R.

You'll never get a V6 to sound like a V8, might as well live with that fact and tune it to sound like great V6. I agree that the stock tone sounds better. I'm really curious to hear it with the switchfire crossover.

Does it fit the 2023?? I recently bought one and the pipe doesn't fit the first one, I had to cut the pipe because the rear fascia of the 2023 is different, and I feel like it doesn't fit well.

Hi! The Jetta received a facelift and a new engine in 2022. Our system is only for the pre-facelift model years of 2019-2021.

@@borla Ok, I bought it and they didn't tell me that, and I think it doesn't fit quite right, since it's different. What do you recommend for adjustment after the y and the exhaust outlets, since the exhaust is very low to the ground.

@@francrodz2323 Unfortunately, we have not looked at a 2022+ VW Jetta. We do not know how different the exhaust system is. There's a good chance we may need to develop a new exhaust system specifically for the 2022+ models.

I love the system, but I may have to go with something else because, I can't see myself cutting and welding the inlet pipes to rear of catalytic converters. Please tell me you are working on bolt ons or they are an option in the very very near future.

Hi! Our Axle-Back is a bolt-on part. The optional mid pipe does require cutting and welding behind the catalytic converters. We designed it this way in order to keep our exhaust system street legal.

@@borla I understand all of this, but wouldn't it still be street legal as a bolt on to the catalytic converters? I have your cat-back on my GMC Denali fully bolt on and its street legal. What if I decided to return back to stock, I can't. Love your exhaust but before I cut and weld on the Lexus IS500 I will go with an exhaust system that doesn't require cutting welding.

Unfortunately, there is no flange or break point before the secondary catalytic converters on the RC F/IS 500. The secondary catalytic converters are built into the stock mid pipes. This design is the only way to retain the secondary catalytic converters.

Many of the exhaust systems in the market are race systems and are not street legal. Any exhaust system that bolts up to the flange towards the front of the car removes the secondary catalytic converters.

I've had my Borla Ataks on my Challenger SRT 392 for about 3 years and they sound great except for the vacuum whistle sound the valves every time they open. Kind of a shame because you know it should be there.
