Beautiful island, worth a visit... but I can't find it by that name or anchorage number on Navionics. Do you have GPS info? Many thanks! Nice video for sure!

Thanks for watching. I did some research on Google but there was no mention of McCrosson's Island. I did find this one reference however: "But the first light locally was about a mile and a quarter south of there, on what is known today as McCrosson’s Island in the Gin Rock Islands. It went into service in 1875, and a light was added at Asylum Point in the approaches to Penetanguishene Harbour the following year." Following is the Parks Canada sign from which I got the name. It seems that this is now Gin Island on maps of the area. It's located on the west side of Beausoleil Island north of Penetanguishene.

It was named after my dad. He worked for the company that developed that area. He made all the roads down there and Georgian Sands.

Fogy was quite the character. Stayed there a couple weeks on summer holidays. He let the place go to rack and ruin. Had a lot of potential. We enjoyed ourselves there.

@@nickstojanovic8868 Have not been fishing up that way for quite a number of years but it seems to me that the quality of fishing in general in central & southern Ontario has fallen off a lot. When we went up to Fogey's we never took meat with us. Just go out for half an hour & you are guaranteed to catch fish!
