How in the world did a movie like American Pie make it to network TV? I would think a movie like that would be difficult to clean up for TV.

This was on 27 years ago today (11/27/24) I was 12 years old in the 7th grade when this was on but I didn’t grow up in the Delaware Valley area. I grew up in Northeast Ohio (Cleveland). It’s sad that a lot of these businesses are not around anymore. TV was definitely different back then.

Do you happen to have any footage just before the Special Presentation CBS bumper from this night? I watched it when it originally aired and swear there was pretaped comments from CBS stars talking about the film (not the footage from the Columbia Studios screening intro with Marlee Matlin, John Forsyth, Jim Henson, Tony Danza).
