Hahaha I think what you might be referring to is that the sim’s water is only a foot deep in all areas including the oceans.

@@rowdyellenburg8525 Ya it's pretty weird for sure and I don't understand why the default depth is so shallow. If you adjust the wind to max speed you can sort of see the waves glitch and bottom out.

It was an addon once upon a time, roughly 3 years ago when this video was made. I don't see it on flightsim.to anymore so I think it's safe to assume that it's no longer supported anyways and would cause problems.

Of course, you'll want this addon for it if you're on PC: flightsim.to/file/848/iceland-overhaul It's the Solheimasandur Plane Wreck and a quick search on Google maps gives you this location 63.459237608186584, -19.364680983333102 You'll have to convert it to GPS long/lat coordinates.

Loaded the Orbx, and other 2 sceneries, but will only use the scenery file, you listed, to go to the plane wreck. The Kodiak 100 Legacy Pack being in the AIRCRAFT section is being addressed in this next update as yes it should be in the liveries section. As far as the "making it look like I'm selling the plane" is not true as the first line states "Here you will find all of the STOL Addicts liveries for the Kodiak 100 ever made to date". Besides that the entire description only talks about the liveries themselves and the amount of detail and work that went into them. At no point is it said that the plane is included let alone any details about the actual aircraft specifications as would be expected if you were purchasing an aircraft on marketplace.

No there's no 3rd party water masking going on here. It's the default area around the Bahamas and is probably some of the best water masking in the sim currently. I'm still waiting for the Maldives to get some love.

What do you mean? For that big of a bird and how heavy it is compared to a canvas covered Cub the approach speed of 76 knots is pretty remarkable. It’s regularly used at Idaho mountain grass strips that require STOL. That’s where all of these landings are in this video as well.

Ya I have the flight plan for the whole video in the description but here are the google maps coordinates (26.5828370, 6.7439418) The nearest airport is Aéroport Régional Amguid, Idles, Algeria. You’ll fly east from there for about 15-20min at 120kts if I remember correctly.

Glad I could help! The sim is a great place to get your feet wet with side slips and all that jazz, especially if you have pedals to make things a little more immersive.

I mean he did add NOS to the Grravel so I understand that but I think it was more so meant for the fun of it. If you're looking for a truly to spec bush bird the //42 Kitfix, GF Wilga and the SWS Kodiak are all good options that released after I made this video.

I don’t know if it has CAT III ILS avionics capabilities but it most definitely can be flown by hand by ILS. I don’t think it’s really flown that often because most times they’re flying training ops where they have visibility minimums for off field landings and such, hoist SAR ops and some range time when the .50 actually works.

@@stoladdicts2234 and you can’t actually do anything with the hoist cable at the moment, right?

@@marionetteworks Not that I know of. I don't think the hoist is actually modelled anyways let alone the .50 with the swing arm which is kind of disappointing.

This is actually before the update this past week. The lighting is courtesy of Nvidia game overlay settings I had to tweak. It does an excellent job at getting things moody.

It would be pretty cool if MSFS had effects for that kind of stuff but I don’t think we’ll ever actually get them.
