Basically the same compartments, yeah. If I remember right, Optare stopped using the Mercedes engine due to multiple issues.

Yeah, a car went on fire along the usual route and so everything got diverted. I later got the ex-Lothian Dart (SK52 OJE) to Dunfermline and we went via the M90 and Halbeath.

They did have 3 but 18369 hit a tree two years ago and has been VOR ever since and 18374 doesn't appear to have been out for a while (it did suffer major faults in December and returned to service in February but quickly disappeared again...)

There was 19046 (originally intended for the Craig Tara service but never happened!) but that has since went up to Bluebird. Only open topper I think West Scotland even have now is semi-preserved Leyland Titan 11083, which very rarely comes out and even when it does, it's used as a form of advertising from what I gather.

Stagecoach in total actually have 55 Wright Streetlites as I type this: 8 with West Scotland (including the one in this video), 18 in Yorkshire, 16 in London and 13 WFs with South Wales.

Thank you :) And yes, I agree about the little whine this has. Would've had a vid on one of the KX59-plates on the 247 too that day but the one I got (CZM) was busy and a radio was blaring (bus itself was a shed anyway lol). Led to believe sister CYV sounds better so I'll try for that next time!

Does anyone else of a 'certain' age remember the 'Matchbox' model (today I guess we would describe as 4mm scale) of these wonderful Atlantean's with Alexander bodies? I loved mine and still have it! I liked the style because they were unknown to us in Swansea, South Wales, through that period, our buses were AEC Regents by MCW, Willowbrook and Park Royal. Love the engine noise and great to see the vehicle so immaculate...better than when new!

Is this the 907th Glasgow Atlantean? The registrations did not match the fleet numbers. How many Atlanteans did Glasgow have and also Fleetlines?

Glasgow had 1,448 Atlanteans delivered between 1958 and 1982, and as far as I know there was only ever one Fleetline delivered new (SGD 730 in 1963). Unlike a lot of other fleets Glasgow's buses didn't have matching fleetnumbers/registrations, although some of them weren't far off; as an example, 1961 Leyland Titan PD3 L446 is registered SGD 448.

It's back out because the former regular, SJ16 ZZV, is now with Moffat & Williamson. I'm not sure if Mackie's other Euro 3 B7s are active or even still exist (I know SN06 GGK went for scrap recently) but I'd get a ride or two while you can; the MA2/MA3 are being axed on 12th July.

Are you sure this was new as a Volvo demonstrator? Bus Lists on the Web says this was new to Harrogate & District, while the only Volvo demonstrator from 2003 listed on that site has the registration of BX03 BKU (which is oddly listed as being new in December 2003, surely it should be BX53 and not BX03).

I remember this coach b318 unb that's the one of pride of the clyde coach I been on this coach once when I went to airdrie for the morton game when I was 11 morton losing 1 0 to airdrie in the first half marko rajamaki and Jannie linberg scored to fight back to make it won for full time airdrie 1 morton 2 the same coach been to the morton club 4 times I haven't been on this coach 3 times when it went to Stirling St Johnstone and clydebank
