My sister was Living in Sanct Petersburg, Florida, and they bought the new house, they removed their Reverse Osmosis Filters - I didn't want its, but my motherwith my sister insisted to install them in our apartment in Miami. My sister bought all the new filters and supplied me with them too. They brought the whole system in disconnected condition in the carton box. After it was a week in my room I installed the new power outlet under the sink, I am aprentice for electricians and I run new lane from panel and fished the wall. The apartment is about 1965, and pretty old, so the main problem was to get a new power lane - the panel is only 100 amps, that is hard to make the breaker to feed the power. Actually, I solved the problem. Now. I was purplexed to connect all filters because they were in the unzipped conditions and I hardly collected them together. I put them on the wall, and after I watched the Installation video, I connecte all together. It was a problem with the prssure tank, I unsrewed the valve and the old water with the pressure sreaded all around the kitchen; I dropped that metal bowl into sink till the pressure released off. That was tye question HOW TO DESINFECT the pressure tank. I installed it without any choromine drops, because O do not know where to get them. I bought in Publix store the Chlorox, The bleach for laundry but it is not a NUTRITIONAL. I camr in Amazon and found some water treatment staff as liek for tourists to disinfecting the water in foreste creeks. Actually, I do not know where to get the chloramine for the kitchens to drop some into pressure tank to delete any residue inside and desinfect. I assembled the filter system and waited the other week. My suster told me on phone that I need to change the old filters for the new ones that she supplied. Now I watchedbthe video. Here is no answer where to get the water treatment tank and in what the form it should be. Probably, my sister has in her house the new system from Reverse Osmosis because she tooked out from the new house that one - first from old house into new house, after from new house she gave me. It whould be good to get the recommendations about how to perform the maintenance cleaning and desinfecting the water tank. In real way, I wouldn't install something in our apartment, its old buolding, has not too much room in the electric panel, it is teg Miami, and the water may he not good for drinking in the forcets. In fact, in New York City the water in pipes is not good for consuming. But the next day told me

How do you open the darn thing to change the filter?
@ThePerfectWater
@ThePerfectWater 4 ай бұрын
I am sorry you are having some trouble opening the housing. Please note that the system is hand tightened when originally assembled at the factory, not machine tightened. If too much time passes between filter changes, sticky gunk can accumulate. If you prefer to use a wrench please use 2 “strap wrenches” in opposing directions, but you’ll first need to remove the inlet and outlet elbows to avoid cracking them. A single strap wrench isn’t much help on its own, since there is nothing to brace it against. Many customers find success using a couple of those rubber mats that people use to unscrew stubborn pickle jars to increase their grip. Use one on each end and turn in opposite directions. Righty tighty, Lefty loosie. We can supply a pair to you at no charge and provide further guidance. Please call 877-693-7873.

I'm not sure why you'd want to cut the tubing unless it's not straight or if you're experiencing leaks.
@ThePerfectWater
@ThePerfectWater 6 ай бұрын
The reason why we recommend you trim the tubing during the filter change is because the fittings bite down into the tubing, scoring it, potentially creating a path for water to leak out upon reuse. While its unlikely that it would leak upon reuse, and any leak should be visible if you are thorough with the given leak check step - we aim to deliver the perfect water, and being leak-free is part of it. Do I trim the tubing when I change the filters on my personal system - no, but I know that if I see I leak, I can simply go back and trim that tube, whereas some folks will skip the trimming, see a leak, and become very upset with us. I hope this helps. Please call support 877-693-7873 M-F 9am to 5pm MST for fastest response.

What is the situation with the bacteria in the tank?
@ThePerfectWater
@ThePerfectWater 10 ай бұрын
Thank you for asking this question. If you are on a chlorinated city water supply, there should be nothing living in the water in the first place. If you are on a private untreated well, then (first send us a water report) consider model TMHP HydroPerfection with a UV sterilizer to destroy microorganisms before they reach the tank, if, somehow, they get past the KDF85 pre-filter and 0.0001 micron RO membrane (smallest virus is 0.02 microns). We also offer a TMHP-FCUV that sterilizes the water both before and after the tank.

What if you mess up on fill and drain procedure and carbon gets inside tank? can you start over with fill and drain procedure to correct it?
@diysave1136
@diysave1136 11 ай бұрын
Here's the reply for Home Master if anyone has this issue. Fill and Drain Procedure (Page 7 #9.): The first step is to purge the system. Close the system feed valve and open the RO faucet like you were getting a drink of water. Leave the RO faucet in the open position until the water stops flowing completely. Then open the feed valve, close the RO faucet and allow the system to refill. The system and storage tank must be allowed to fill and drain completely. Tank is empty when the water flow comes to a complete stop. If the water stream trickles on endlessly, it’s a sign that the system feed was not closed, and the process should be restarted.
@ThePerfectWater
@ThePerfectWater 11 ай бұрын
Yes, but you may have to do an extra Fill & Drain or two. Any discoloration from carbon is aesthetic, there are no negative health implications from drinking the loose carbon. In fact, you can buy OTC carbon pills from the pharmacy used for stomach ailments.

Hi, I'm having a bit low pressure (not terrible, but just lower after I changed the filters). I have an 8 year old r/o tank from Culligan that I just re-pressurized. I emptied the tank, re-pressurized with the valve closed to 7 psi, and the pressue is still pretty low compared to before the filter changed. I also noticed this morning that the tank barely had any water in, and it's been filling since 3pm yesterday 3/5/23. Is it possible the water was used filling ice all night. Otherwise, I cannot figure out why the pressure isn't that grate. Also, before the filter changed, I could fill 1 pot of coffee with water and by the end it would be slowing down quite a bit. I'm wondering if I need to replace the tank...thoughts?
