It’s USB B to USB A, SS just means superspeed which is used with USB 3.0. DP means Display Port which is another kind of port.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer and a Power Engineer and, I'm sorry, but you really do not know what you're talking about. CAFE standards were put into place for ALL cars since 1978. "0" weight oils not only helps with cold starts to reduce engine wear, but they also allow for oil to flow through very small passages for things like variable valve timing (VVTi, VTEC etc.). Also, these oils only act like "0" weight oil upon start up, then they provide protection of 50,40,30,20,16 weight oils, that's what 0W30 means. They are all multigrade oils that provide much better protection for your engine than the oil of 20 years ago. Yes, cars are using lighter weight steel, but overall, the car chassis is much stiffer for improved ride and handling and to allow for the use of full glass moonroofs or convertible models. Bearings are not being made lighter (I laughed out loud at that one!), and piston rings make the seal against the cylinder wall mainly because of the aforementioned oil, it has very little to do with the compression ring tensions. Yes, Toyota did experiment with piston rings that caused oil burning, but these were the oil control rings, not the compression rings that have some tension to them. Any oil vapor that may get by the piston rings that is not burned and ends up in the crankcase, is then caught by the Evap system and sent back to the engine to be reburned. EV's are on their way out. Visit any new car lot, most of the manufacturers can't sell them. ICE engines will be around for a very long time yet. The main reason the newer engines are having issues is that the manufacturers used to do R&D for years before they were put into the vehicle and sold to the consumer. Today, we are the R&D, because R&D is expensive to perform. So, manufacturers only find the problems after unsuspecting consumers find them. Never buy the first year of a vehicle launch, has never been a truer statement. I don't mind that you have your opinion about ICE engines and/or EV's, but when you don't really know how an engine works, then you should not comment and spread false truths out into the world, on a global platform.

I see this happening around the holidays and that’s okay. Tesla adds so many chargers as much as possible to the most Tesla populated areas. Remember that Tesla holds the best selling car in the world. Meaning that lots of teslas will be using more and more chargers

What does driving a "clunker" have to do with a high crime area? Maybe you should get your heads out of your clunker. Don't judge people by the color of the parking lot. Or go back to your perfect clean neighborhood Walmart.

To be fair the camera is atrocious at low light. The reverse lights also have a design function rather than illuminating what you’re reversing in to (some people even say the internal reflectors are manufactured wrong) Coming from a 95% tinted 3 series it isn’t too bad 😂

Check out the Nealey Tire Repair Kit or the Chemi Cure. They are the same thing. They are SO much easier to apply. I also carry a drill bit and use a cordless screwdrive to hold the bit and to to clean at the hole.

Got a question about your car how many battery replacements or motors have you had done in that timeframe or still on the original parts? What kind of maintenance have you had? Also, do you still use it for towing trailers or you have a different EV for that?

In North America, tire designs historically evolved around the vehicles we built, particularly those with solid axle configurations, especially in the rear. Tires with the “P” prefix, like P285, were engineered for vehicles with less than 2 degrees of camber. These tires feature tread depth that is evenly distributed across the face of the tire, reinforcing what we commonly consider as “even tire wear.” Much of our understanding and expectations around tire wear stem from the characteristics of P-rated tires. In contrast, Europe, where four-wheel independent suspensions have been more prevalent for decades, has long used tires designed to handle higher camber angles. These tires often feature more rubber on the shoulder to accommodate the increased wear from higher camber angles. Vehicles like Teslas, BMWs, and other performance-oriented or luxury brands frequently come equipped with non-P-rated tires, designed to meet the demands of modern suspension geometry. However, many people are unfamiliar with this distinction. What some perceive as abnormal wear on these tires-such as shoulder wear-may actually be normal for the tire’s design. For example, anyone working at a BMW dealership frequently sees tires worn down to the 2/32 limit (where the wear bars become visible), often with more wear on the shoulders. From the photos and complaints about premature tire wear, the majority of the tires appear to be evenly worn across the tread, suggesting that the issue may not lie with the tires or alignment but with expectations based on older tire standards. In essence, this may be more of a perceived problem than a genuine issue requiring a solution. FYI negative camber is applied for stability in a straight line to keep the vehicle from wandering side to side in its’ lane. The pattern on your inner tread is not technically cupping. This sawtooth wear is more indicative of negative toe scrub probably caused by the natural opening of the toe over time due to metal fatigue and wearing in suspension components.

For those wondering about this, most newer Models, with the exception of the base models, have the rear fog lights. The option to enable them from the screen is missing since it’s not something widely used in the U.S (amongst other reasons). The Model X has verbiage in the manual specifically about its rear fog lights being actively equipped. These can be turned on using “S3XY Buttons” you can buy online that enable quite a few more features than what your in-vehicle display allows you to enable. Rear Fog Lights happens to be one of those features.

I want a model s because I need the range. I love the 20s and the 21s.. but I keep telling myself I need the range and that’s why I’m getting the car. I really am thinking about getting 19x10.5 at least in the rear. That would give an aggressive concave look and I believe I would still get the range and comfort. 20s are still on the table though. Great video
