God sends people to hell. Jesus said "and this is the condmnation, that men agape darkness rather then light because their deeds are evil." I don't understand why people who perhaps are born again and have God's Holy spirit living on the inside sing songs asking that same spirit to come or come down??? If I were the Holy spirit I would be truly offended or baffled as to why they sing songs like that. Perhaps the people who wrote the song could be just as lost as the people who are okay with singing this song?!? Um just saying. . . I would never sing any kind of song asking the spirit to come when He indeed lives on the inside of me. Lesson in this: Every song written about the things of God were not moved or blessed by God to be written. Many songs were simply written by people who are just musically talented which is totally different from being anointed by God. Songs that are anointed by God will line up with His word with every verse sung. This song makes absolutely no sense for believers to sing.

I think maybe you are listening to the song incorrectly. Because yes I am saved and I am filled to the measure of the FULLNESS OF GOD through the love of Christ. BUT God is bigger than that. I have been in rooms where the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit descended on a space of expectant believers. To pray and to hope for an intimate encounter with the Living God that transcends our understanding and our daily experience of Him is absolutely okay.
