Beautiful park! I enjoyed hearing about the Detwiler family. As far back as time, people enjoyed hiking trails 👣 Look at that!! A perfectly placed chair! I love those 😊 I always look for trail love while out and about. It's when nature has a heart ❤️ along the trails 😊

Hello John 👋 that is a beautiful walking stick. It's a wonderful gift your daughter got you from Gatlinburg, too! That Iron Mountain sign looks familiar, I am thinking Lumberjack may have done a video in this area. I enjoyed your hike! Beautiful view at the top of your climb. I never thought of fern being invasive and preventing newer trees from taking hold. I love the slowness of John Muir. He always took the time to get to know the things he found in the forest.

I always enjoy your Muir tribute episodes. He used to go to the mountains when he felt ill and always felt healthier when he did. He walked and walked and walked some more. He had a teue love for mountains and the beauty it held to heal. I enjoyed the scenery on your trek. Being able to spend the night out there must feel good. 😃

I did enjoy myself. Although a little energy depleted the last two miles. My daughter met me at the iron bridge. She works for the Hershey Corporation. She always has candy bars around. Not that day😂. I did not read that he went into the woods to feel better. Thanks for that. " Into the forest, I go, to lose my mind , and find my soul. John Muir
