I use to live in Lake County Florida. I caught some nice crappie at night. Moved back to Ohio.. We have some nice ones here . Just have to know the right spots. Crappie and Bluegill has always been my favorite fish 🎣

How heavy of a pop-eye jig will the 1/2 inch pencil northland slip bobber float?

we use every size of pop eye jig , 1/64, 1/32 and 1/16th all work well with the thin pencil floats, hope you SUB to our channel and thanks for watching.

Winter is some of the best times! Find you a dock and go early morning and in the late evening and drop down deep.

Absolutely it is, those that say only 'spring' just don't really know how to find or catch them any other time of the year, we fish crappie 24/7 everywhere across N. America and we can say anytime is a good time to go crappie fishing. Hope you SUB to our channel, thx for watching.

You'll probably catch more big ones on average with live but I've seen a lot of big crappies caught on jigs. I prefer jigs

I use B'N'M Cane poles for crappie. I have the 10 and 13 footer. Really fun. Jig Pole is on my list. 🎣

serious question? Im not a crappie fisherman, more bass... i get the slip float moving thing but you can literally get a very small foam float and move it up and down the line anywhere you want in the same way without worring if the slip float knot can go throught the small eye of your rod..... i really dont get it ... i want to learn why ?
