Spot on brother! I’ve said it for YEARS! These guys don’t have any ambition and only got away with it because Klopp (and hopefully Slot) was so good, he papered over the cracks. They left us woefully short on defence when they let Lovren go, with NO replacements! That left us with just VVD, Matip (always injured) and Gomez (always injured, and until last season where he did great, usually a disaster waiting to happen). That left us just 3 CBs for the new season, 2 of which were injury prone! What happened? ALL out for the season, and we had to play Hendo, Fab, and kids at CB! Same story again not replacing Gini or revamping midfield as the years went by- which meant we had to rebuild our entire midfield in one summer due to not keeping on top of the squad. And now the same AGAIN. A new manager comes in, and apart from Chiesa, NO ONE comes in over TWO windows! WHO DOES THAT??? Especially when we are in pole position to win big trophies! Any danger we strengthen and give ourselves the best possible chance of success?? DONT BE RIDICULOUS. We will persist with injury prone Gomez (who of course is now out again) and Quanash who has promise, but is in no way the finished article, and still has a lot to learn. Nice one FSG. Yes, the experienced players deserve some level of criticism, but to be fair, the number of inexperienced players on the field didn't help them and messed up the balance and had no creativity for the front line. That being said, Cheisa, Quansa, Tsimikas, Elliot were bloody awful and could do the simple things and consistantly chose the wrong option
