This makes me so sad. I lived here as a kid. Its super nicely redone now though but my memories are now just memories
@SignalsOverTheAir7 күн бұрын
Sadly, that what happens with time it all just becomes memories. I was just there this past week doing some last minute Christmas shopping and I was out of there in less than an hour. With the remodel, it does look nice; but all of charm and coziness of the original is gone. With the original mall, I easily could spend over an hour there just window shopping and browsing and that be a successful outing. However since the remodel, I don't go to the mall too often, when I do it's usually just for Target. If I do go inside the actual mall, it's only as far as Five Below.

The low rent band hitting the ceiling, which is now the floor? And they still sound bad! Getting bopped by hurled baggies of bad weed? Boxes of frozen buffet entrees? Fat people hurling about the capsizing room, trying to catch them? Cristos! What a nightmare!

A modern cruise ship today is very unlikely to capsize and even if it did, it would only be briefly and the ship would turn right side up again. The damage done by capsizing today would still be about the same as it is in the movie, maybe just a bit worse though.
