Elvis Presley is a huge singer and he was very humble, he always said that Fats Domino was the king for him and always said that rock and roll existed long before him among black American singers, he was very friends with Muhammad Ali , james brown, sammy davis junior, bb king. Otis Blackwell composed great songs for Elvis but also for Jerry Lee Lewis and said he was happy because he made a very good living as a composer and the royalties, stop trying to criticize Elvis for nothing

But whenever bring a guest on Facebook live with my iPhone 13 Pro Max the iRig drops out and the audio and microphone switches back to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. So I can't play any music thru the RCA jack or use the microphone jack in the iRig Stream Pro. I've been in contact with Sweetwater and emailing IK for the past month and a half and still no resolution. Has anybody else had a problem with livestreaming with iRig Stream Pros ?

"Jacked"? No, Otis sold his material to whomever offered him money. He sent demo's to Elvis's management so he'd convey how it should be sung. He imitated Elvis because he was desperate for Elvis to want to record his songs. Everyone wanted Elvis to buy their work. Do the homework on this. Chat shows are heavily edited and it os easy to slander a dead man. Otis drank his money away, is what I have read in more than one article. If i find the source I'll link it here.

Elvis! Elvis was always Elvis! Unique Elvis! Right from the start at the jamsession in 1954 in the SUN STUDIO ... unbelieveable sick jealousy of a super musician (maybe he would talk a little bit different, if he would have been able to see the unreachable live charisma of ELVIS PRESLEY - THE MASTER OF ENTERTAINMENT ....

Well - English is not my native language - I try to say it clear and nice as much as I can in English: I was a big Ray Charles fan - and yes, of course - I am a thousand times more ELVIS SUPER FAN! Till this video I really could not believe the all time rumours, that Ray Charles was saying nonens about Elvis! Now we know it for sure! As a singer - in America! - saying about Elvis - he is not great - he is NOT the King - wow! Elvis is for ever THE YARDSTICK of/for entertainment! In this Universe! Elvis brought Mister Charles a lot of royalties for some of his songs! Elvis´ WHAT´D I SAY is 1000times more brilliant than Charles´ version! To perform I CAN´T STOP LOVING YOU in such an outstanding rock version style as Elvis did live on stage is unreachable! AND JUST ONE THING - we could name much more about the bad nonsens from Ray now - FOR THE CLOSING: ELVIS PRESLEY - NEVER EVER CRITICIZED ANOTHER ENTERTAINER ON THIS PLANET! ... another fact, which I love about ELVIS PRESLEY SUPERSTAR! (I really like Rays version of I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW ...)

@mattythechefdc29 күн бұрын
Hey Ted. That's a good question with few factors that could make the answer easy or difficult. Could you elaborate on exactly what's not clear? Also it's about placement of the drum mic, the pic's recording frequencies it's self and then in the mix. Try placing the mic between the kick and snare, in the ride cymbal side and point the mic towards the snare head. That's a good stating point and then experiment with placement. As far as the clearness of the mix, start with a small EQ cut around the 100-250hz. Try that first, then do a small shelf boost of the EQ frequencies in the high-mids and above 5k Hz

I know as we all can you Ray is blind, but he was also dead and Dumb? Maybe he should thank Elvis because he helped bridge music styles and dance styles from one culture to another and not sound like a jealous petty jerk. I can count on my hands the number of Ray Charles songs I know or are decent. The Elvis list is loo long to count. Every great musician is influenced or appropriates something. Elvis made it his own. That's why he's the King and is on a another stratosphere than Ray Charles and race has NOTHING to do with it! Elvis was and is the King of Rock and Ray is just another famous entertainer. And it clearly bother him.😉 Mohamad Ali that was friend with Elvis said : He is the Greatest of all time, and all black people that worked and SAW Elvis, so I am gonna go and listen to them! Ray Charles Set The Record Straight that he was a RACIST. Ray showed an ugly BITTER & JEALOUS side, and proved he would and a LIE in this interview about a person who helped put FOOD ON HIS TABLE. Ray sold just 10 million records EVER. James Brown sold 50 million. Ray talked ish about James too. Ray lost A LOT OF RESPECT from his fans over this interview. Ray's first hit record was a white County music album. Ray's got NO ROOM TO TALK, considering it was gracious white musicians who put him on the map to begin with. Ray was a CROSSOVER ARTIST just as Elvis was. Its just wrong what Ray pulled here. Pure racist agenda poppycock.
@depperАй бұрын
Ray attacked Elvis for ALL THE WRONG REASONS. Ray used race and malice to try to "stir the pot" publicly for his own self profit. HE KNEW VERY WELL that Elvis wasn't racist and did not steal music. In fact he SOLD 2 of his songs to Elvis. He knew Elvis didnt steal music. It was a cheap shot that rang hollow because EVERYONE IN THE BLACK MUSIC ARTIST COMMUNITY KNEW that Elvis propelled black musicians, he didnt steal from them. So what was Elvis' actual contribution to music? It was specifically love, timing, environment and distribution. Ok so Rock music is primarily made up of several strains of Country music (all invented by white artists), Gospel (Christian music was originally invented by Roman choirs before the birth of Christ. ) and the Blues (invented by black artists). Lets add to that the legendary song writers (such as Leiber and Stoller). Then the instruments which were made in Italy, Germany, Africa, China and the Middle East among others. That is where rock and roll sprang from. Rock is NOT BLACK MUSIC. It is YOUNG PEOPLE MUSIC. It was created by YOUNG PEOPLE for YOUNG PEOPLE in an era of YOUTH REVOLUTION. Rock was the first music genre of the modern age that was CREATED FOR AN AGE GROUP and NOT A RACE of people. Elvis is the only musician ever to be inducted into the Gospel, Blues, Country and Rock & Roll Halls of Fame. Elvis was different, and his perspective was different than most white people of his day, especially among other whites in the South. Elvis grew up in the poorest parts of the South during the Great Depression and Segregation. And he understood the very lowest depths of poverty. Only 4 white families on his block, he lived and played with black children while living in a 1 room shotgun shack with NO running WATER and NO ELECTRICITY. His father built the home with a borrowed $150, then lost it because they couldn't afford to pay it back. How poor was Elvis? The Presleys were so poor that they couldn't afford a coffin when Elvis' twin brother Jesse Garon Presley was born stillborn, so Jesse had to be buried in a shoebox. Elvis was uniquely born at a time and place, Tupelo (SHAKERAG) AND Memphis (BEALE STREET) when so much new music and dance were happening. And So MUCH DIVISION and HATE if you were poor and/or black. Elvis paid royalties to black songwriters THAT ASKED ELVIS to sing and re-arrange their song and vice versa. Elvis created A WHOLE NEW STYLE AND SOUND that was VERY CREATIVE.... by merging GOSPEL, R&B, Pop music, Rockabilly and Country. Rock was a MERGING OF CULTURES and GENRES. Every young person in the 50s was yearning for a new sound and Elvis' style was a FIRST, and he merged everything together the BEST for the young people. Elvis sang, arranged, produced, danced, acted, and had a God crafted voice that was entirely UNIQUE and sought after. Elvis was already honing his voice and skills in the 1940s in the church scene long before Little Richard or Chuck Berry ever cut a single record. Elvis was trained by black musicians in black churches and white musicians in white churches in the 1940s. Rev W Herbert Brewster of the East Trigg Baptist Church asked Elvis to join in 1948 when he was 13, after Elvis and his family moved to Memphis. They were jamming before and during the legendary black musicians got heard. He was able to merge music genres and black and white culture better than anyone and created the sound and stage performance of Rock and Roll. AND as soon as ELVIS started to make money -- THEY ALL MADE MONEY! Little Richard talked about this: "He sung my Tootie Fruti & by him singing it, made it bigger & made ME bigger" And then he said: “I thank God for Elvis Presley. I thank the Lord for sending Elvis to open the door so I could walk down the road...”- Little Richard Elvis WAS the biggest part of the change from the old style of music to Rock and Roll. He absolutely was an ACTUAL PIONEER of the modern sounds and stage presentations that we know today. He co-invented Rock and Roll with Little Richard and Fats Domino and Chuck Berry and others. He WAS a pioneer. Its not culture appropriation / culture vulture when you are a pioneer of a sound. Elvis never stole a song. He credited everyone, ensuring all songwriters were listed next to every song on each album. No exceptions. Elvis was friends with all the legends.. B.B. King, Otis Blackwell, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Roy Hamilton and many more. You can't STEAL "COOL" You cant steal "RHYTHM". You cant steal "SOUL". You can't STEAL "HOW TO DANCE". You can't steal "HOW TO SAAANG". You either HAVE THESE SKILLS, or you do NOT. ELVIS THE ARRANGER: Elvis was ABLE TO MERGE MUSIC AND CULTURE better than any one else alive at the time. Elvis didn't only help the black community of artists, that man tore down walls of racism for everyone. He stood up and did it a man's way. Without concern for his own health and safety, his career, or his quality of life. This gets talked about by the great, late Reverend himself. Elvis and the Black Community. A great collaboration of interviews by legends and historic figures in the black community discussing Elvis. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpWUoYutZqmgqaM&t=

Elvis sold 2-3 BILLION records. Ray sold just over 10 MILLION. Elvis lent a helping hand to Ray when he was down on his luck, and this bunk is what he got in return. Still, Elvis never returned the volley. He took the high road and stated that "there is room for everybody and I'd rather not comment" (on Ray's racist remark.) Smart move Elvis. Elvis worked WITH BLACK ARTISTS. He NEVER STOLE. There were many other white artists that stole. Elvis was NOT IN THAT GROUP. In fact he was VERY against it. He propelled MANY BLACK LEGENDS... including Otis Blackwell, Jackie Wilson, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson.

Very good point and accurate. Stolen valor is a COWARD's work. And Ray Charles had 12 children with 10 different women. He impregnated TEN WOMEN. Ray was heavy into drugs and messed up his career yearly, which may explain why he only sold 10 million records. With HIS VOICE, thats just sad. And the FACTS? Most of Ray's fans who bought those albums WERE WHITE. In fact he STARTED as a COUNTRY ARTIST singing WHITE COUNTRY MUSIC. Elvis had, and still has a larger black fanbase than Ray did. Hey, Ray, I hate to burst your bubble, but "Hound Dog," while performed initially by a black woman, it was written by two white, Jewish guys. Also, Elvis had a very specific formula he repeatedly applied to black rhythm & blues music: (1) speed up the tempo substantially compared to the black artist's tempo; (2) play the instrumental parts, and sing the vocals, legato, while the black artists performed them more staccato, and (3) reduce the emphasis on, or at least neutralize, the syncopation of the rhythm, or, the backbeat, so that the beat is more even. You can hear Elvis do these things over and over again. And people found this music more appealing.

I totally understand tha racism didn't let black music be appreciated as it should've been in the 50's, 60's etc. BUT to say that Elvis was not great is BS! Elvis was the integrator between black music and white music. Without him there would be no Rock and roll as we know it today. The objection that he never wrote his own music, OH EXCUSE ME, Sinatra didn't either, Andy Williams too. Dionne Warwick did sing Burt Bacharach's catalog... Elvis sang gospel as no one that I know of, he was a gift period! And his unique looks are truly Iconic Americana. Lots of great artists would disagree with you Mr Ray charles and I know you are already gone but you were wrong. And besides, Elvis loved your music too.

So are you saying you don't see any differences between Elvis' version of "Hound Dog," or of "Memphis, Tennessee," versus the black artists' versions? You aren't very perceptive if you don't. When I listen to them, I prefer Elvis' approach to the songs, and it has nothing to do with race. To prove this, I much prefer Brooke Benton's, and Dave Ruffin's, versions of "Rainy Night In Georgia" to the original white author and performer's versions, Tony Joe White. Are you going to assert that I like Brooke Benton's version better because of his skin color. Your comments are despicable, to accuse people of preferring one artist's version based solely upon skin color. It's not even logical.
