I was swimming open water beach to beach in Majorca today. Wind was onshore and every time I turned to it i got a mouth full of water. Its not funny how much water you can take on when that happens.

Great vid. I would panic while swimming but now I just focus on the rhythm inhale exhale inhale exhale. That really keeps me calm now and Im able to swim for a much longer duration. Thank you.

Zipper away from you up is a great tip! And your squat move - I definitely would bend over a lot more and that was probably too much for the suit. The reverse fold and pull on the legs and arms is A+ ! Never done that.

Thanks for sharing, Lance! The squat move is probably way better for the suit than how I used to bend over and pull up. I will try the rollback maneuver as well - that is a great tip! Love Blueseventy wetsuits!

Would be really interested to see the side view too to get an idea of how deep the current is... but nice video

It's a product/brand video, meaning it is basically an ad for that product. I shouldn't have to wait for another ad to play first. Jeez.

would be interesting to know why the zipper starting point is at the top and not from the bottom up?

The Helix's reverse zipper has less bulk at the top of the neck for more comfort and less chance of chafing since the zipper head sits at the bottom when zipped. In addition it prevents any accidental unzipping when swimming in a crowded race (someone snags the zipper and unzips your suit), and lastly provides the fastest exit when running to transition, simply grab the leash at the base and pull up, the zipper unzips more easily than pulling down and no more fishing for the leash. While it's more challenging to zip up yourself, it can be done with practice.

Hi, I've been following you for a long time and everything in your videos has always been spectacular. The sessions are great, the quality is fantastic... this channel is absolutely brilliant and you helped me a lot with the majority of my curiosities about swimming, thank you so much. Anyway, I would like to make a suggestion (if it's not a problem): I'm convinced that you can add a really funny video on your channel to show us some of the funniest things happened while swimming or even during other water activities, something like a "oops and bloopers" compilation. I think that a funny video would be ok for youir channel. For example, you could gather all of the times where some swimmers or freedivers get recorded on video while peeing in the water. Once, my uncle peed in his wetsuit on his surfboard while he was waiting for a wave and that was hilarious, he always tells me there are 2 types of surfers, divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water (both pool and ocean) and those who lie. You can also include those "releasing" moments as small clips in the future videos just to keep having a bit of humor on your channel, you can use both old and new clips, what do you think? I know it sounds weird, but, in my opinion, it's the funniest thing about divers and swimmers. When a swimmer pees in the water or in his wetsuit, I think he demonstrates to be someone who is not afraid of consequences or to be judged. And if you can't tell when someone else does it, well, you could ask them to do a particular sign when they do it, I think it's something that can come out great! I'd be so so happy to watch it, let me know, have a great day!

Blueseventy makes great wet suits, and my fear with a new one was that I would have to have someone there always to zip up the back. I spoke with Lance on the phone and he sent me this video. It is excellent, and following his procedure allows one to zip up fairly easily with no one around. Thank you, Lance and blueseventy!
