My uncle just played this for me and my 14yr old son who is having a hard time transitioning into high school sports. It probably resonated with me 10x more than him. Haven't seen you in many years kara. When you were on the monarchs i used to often talk with your dad. I heard he passed in 2017. Rip kara. He was always so proud of you and he wa a great veteran brother. Kara was always the sweetest monarch to young girls and was generous with her time and attn post game. 🙏✌️ The dunkin donuts player of the game. And gave the donuts to my daughter. ❤

Too many of us, me included at times, looks for the easy way out or thinks, "if I can just gut this out, it will get easier", and it never does. "If you have a meaningful pursuit in life, it will NEVER be easy". THANK YOU, COACH LAWSON! So good!

Pain and Struggle are the key parts of growth, but they do not need to include suffering. Many believe being uncomfortable is not right and hence wait until they are comfortable. Kara you hit the target, DON'T WAIT. Run towards the challenge (pain and struggle). Fun, joy, and gratitude come from focusing on what went well, often surrounded by pain and struggle. I love George Mumford's analogy of the hurricane. In the eye, the center of the hurricane, it is all calm, but outside the eye, the winds are howling.
