i should have download the extended iso. i was told to get the standard that only has little packages and nothing to work with wifi. and i spend hours downloading the packages like wireless tools manually with their dependencies and putting them on apk folder on the USB AND IT STILL DIDNT WORK. i keep getting error “network is down” despite having internet. it is annoying. most people don’t use wires we use wifi so why don’t their documentations say to download the extended iso and save us time??

This is an amazing demonstration and clarification of how to succesfully upgrade everything, but I must add that many users do not know that they first need to change from bash-5.1# to the way you are having such as root@name and this can be done by writing as first line before anything else the following command: PS1="\u@\h:~# " However, in my case, after the restart, although no errors were reported, for some unknown reason, the mouse and keyboard are no longer working. But even if I will not keep this upgrade, it was a good experience for me to see it working, after a dozen hours of searching the forums. I just dont know why mouse and keyboard dont work.

there are unofficial scripts made by users to make the installation easier there are other distros based on gentoo that have easier ways to install i guess redcore is based on gentoo and easier to install

@@ittechni Hey Friend! Sorry for not updating you - I did made a commentary on the matter but it seems like KZbin didn`t register it. Anyways, the thing is: It does not matter whether version I use, or the Kernel, it seems like my PC Build or the GPU Itself is the issue; The GeForce 210 failed to use Nvidia Drivers in any way I tried in multiple systems, MX Linux, Arch Linux, Ubuntu/Debian and even Windows its kinda hard to install the Driver without any issues. There is no alternative other than getting another GPU - for now I'll have to stick with Nouveau drivers (and actually, a Headless Server) because even with these it mostly fails to start xorg-server or anything at all. Im super frustrated but yeah, it happens XD I did made a more detailed comment but somehow its not here so well, thats it :(

no need to say sorry i should say sorry for replying late to your comment, insisting on getting the news and not making you solve the issue i'm frustrated and sad to know it didn't work you're right about sticking to nouveau but whether it is the fault of the gpu itself or not i don't know(not getting the driver working on windows can make it the fault of the gpu though) i hope you get what you wanted and i can help whenever you need me

There are things that are out of our control - NVIDIA cut the support, Linux maintainers can`t care less for old/deprecated hardware - its not the objective of thesem if I REALLY want to use the GPU power on this device, I should downgrade or something - but regardless, its just a Headless Server and I would use it just for acceleration - its not important right now. (I`m still trying to fix NVIDIA Drivers, currently doing that signing modules right now, if it doesn`t work, I`ll try to downgrade arch to 5.4 Kernel and try the normal drivers - if everything fails, I`ll just put this old crappy GPU on FIRE ahhahahahah - just kidding, I`ll have to stick with Nouveau or try something else)

I appreciate your videos on the matter, you`ve been the most helpful so far - however, I`ve been having the worst time ever trying to install Nvidia Drivers 340 for my GeForce 210 on both Ubuntu and Arch Linux - Nothing I do works - I followed your videos, however, I cant modprobe nvidia, it never installs it correctly and dkms sometimes gives errors - I already removed and reinstalled, re-formatted the systems multiple times, its frustrating. Could you please do one on Kernel 6.8? Either Ubuntu or Arch, I`d be extremely thankful!

@@ittechni I don't know what signing the modules is but I'll try - I'll re-install Arch and do it all over. (Last few times I noticed that it was installing Kernel 6.10 - which might not be patched yet. Although, I tried everything to fallback to 6.8 and even 5.4 - I failed because I'm a noob)

Hello ! since you use sbopkg then the best method to build a package is : sqg -p slapt-src sbopkg -i slapt-src this way you build the package with all its deps if needed... other method is using slpkg, for example just type: slpkg -i slapt-src and it will build it with all its deps also ofcource slapt-get, slapt-src and gslapt are awesome also :)

Taking the change of dialog here I want to make clear something thats is not clear for most people. slackpkg which is the system package-manager NOT have resolution dependencies because not needed. It not needed because every package in a slackware system is ALWAYS ok and ALL its deps already included in the system. So officially slackware packages builded from distro maintainer only need install or upgrade and thats all. ALL other packages we install them from SBo for slackware stable (aka 15.0) or from ponce repo if slackware -current is the system. Both repos SBo + ponce work with sbopkg or slpkg and full dep resolution supported. if you use sbopkg you need 2 commands sqg -p package_name sbopkg -i package_name IF you use slpkg just one command slpkg -i package_name. just be sure that your are root and not using sudo. :)

what exactly path nextcloud location? we have in /var/snap/nextcloud/ and /snap/nextcloud/ root@lcsvr-storage:/snap/nextcloud/current/htdocs# sudo -u root php ./occ upgrade sudo: php: command not found the major problem is after auto upgrade from 27 to 28, missing groupfolder feature by googling, it is must install apps GroupFolder,after installed,then enabling, showing error " Error: This app cannot be enabled because it makes the server unstable" then disable it by command : nextcloud.occ app:disable groupfolders, suddenly the Nextcloud page blank :(

the version in the video is 8.2.1 8.2.2 is recently released i made another video where i found a place to download packet tracer without needing cisco credentials and allowing to download older versions(in case they are still not supported by the distro yet) the link for downloading almost any packet tracer is: www.computernetworkingnotes.com/ccna-study-guide/download-packet-tracer-for-windows-and-linux.html the video i made about that was for gentoo check it in the channel i made a video about running packet tracer on wayland you made need it i hope everything works better than intended :)

@@ittechni I was addressing the issue, primarily on the name itself , not the versions . The file from netacad starts with "Packet_Tracer ....." , yay looks for a file like " CiscoPacketTracer ..." Hence even after copying the file to the build folder , it may not be found as evidenced by the error. Renaming the file correctly solves it . Thanks again :) PS: [ I get you & thanks by the way for the resource <3. ]
