Thank you for your tutorial.. How come the option is not provided and supported by linux mint? Isn't kde one of the most popular DE out there?

If you really wanted to highlight Linux Mint's user-friendliness, I'd recommend that you instead show how to install KDE through the graphical Software Center. That should be a process more familiar to people coming from Windows or MacOS. It's strange that your system only offers KDE in an X11 session, since the system you demo'ed this on obviously has Wayland installed @ 2:40 .

Hello, good point. I guess I've spend just way too many years using command line that GUI lo longer seems as on option. I have created a new video with GUI version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZ2paauDq7d5opI also updated the article: linuxconfig.org/how-to-install-kde-plasma-on-linux-mint Any other hints from you on some other useful videos are welcomed. In regards to the Wayland I have a latest updated version of Linux Mint. As per the login selection menu the Wayland seems to still experimental.

@@LinuxConfig_org thank you! I just watched and liked the new video. No further hints for new videos at this time. On the x11 vs Wayland question, I guess Clem and the Mint team just haven't included Wayland support with regards to KWin. On the other hand, I'm running Debian Bookworm (plus all current updates) on my Dell Latitude e5450 laptop, with an Intel Core i5 and Intel integrated HD graphics. KDE was installed with Wayland out of the box (the Debian 12.7 KDE live ISO image), and it runs fine every day. I thought that Ubuntu (Mint's base) was more "adventurous" with their version updates, whereas Debian is supposed to be more conservative in that regard.

very cool!! there is also the possibility of using a ppa repository of a program to install the necessary dependencies for compilation, for example, MAME (multiple machine emulator) you add a third party ppa, then go and enable the sources code in the repositories, then download the program and when compiling you do a sudo apt build-dep mame and it will download and install all the program's dependencies automatically!!! very useful!!

pour moi Jarre n'a rien inventé : ce sont ses shows démesurés qui font son succès, ses mélodies sont quasi toutes bonnes pour la musique de fond des ascenceurs et grandes surfaces commerciales. Ce sont les allemands qui ont inventé la musique électroniques (Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Ppopo vhu etc...). Tu ne vaut pas ton père mon gars à l'égo démesuré !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the message that Edward is sending is that if people don’t stand up for the COLLECTIVE RIGHT of protecting the privacy of our personal information then who WILL stand up for those collective rights ? So how does the title of this song (EXIT) fit in with that argument ?
