Does this kit come with supply’s like the glue you used? If not what glue did you use?
@azukibeanhobbies2 ай бұрын
From memory, the kit I received does not come with glue. But you can buy a bottle of craft glue or tacky glue for this. The description has a link to the glue I usually use for craft projects :)

Is the glue fast drying or does it take a while to set up before you can move on? You did an excellent job of assembling this book house.
@azukibeanhobbies2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Fast drying glue will make it a bit easier, but either will work. I like to use glue that is relatively fast drying but not too fast to allow a bit of leeway in case of mistakes.

What kind of wood are you using to create furnitures?

Your first message had Taisho so I immediately thought of the Demon Slayer time period 🤭. If you could create your own custom train carriage, what would it be?
@SabakuNoShi8 ай бұрын
Probably the one from 'Sprited Away' or "5cm per second" - they were pretty regular [by look] but I think adding some details could create nice atmosphere. OR if we're talking about any theme - something from Feudal Japan [I like all of the demon and ghost stories]
@azukibeanhobbies8 ай бұрын

what can I do if i dont have the clear thing you put over the wood first? :(
@azukibeanhobbies9 ай бұрын
You’ll definitely need to seal the wood before painting, otherwise the paint will seep through and crack over time. Try to find a sealer, the one in the video the Jo Sonja’s “Clear Glaze Medium”, which is a light sealer. A heavier sealer is the “All Purpose Sealer”. Another one you can try is one called GAC100. Alternatively, you can use specific types of paint such as milk paint, but this is more for decor purposese.g. painting furniture to get that distressed look.

Did you wait at all between coats? If so, how long of a wait between the clear glaze medium coat and the acrylic paint coat? How long between the acrylic paint coat and the pre-varnish glaze coat? How long between the second coat of glaze and the final varnishing? Thanks, I’m making a jewelry box for my precious niece 😅
@azukibeanhobbies10 ай бұрын
I would say wait a minimum of 1 day for the first layer on the raw wood so it can properly seal. For each subsequent layer, around an hour would do - you can use a hairdryer to speed up the surface drying time. Each varnishing coat is also 1 hour wait. Have fun with the jewellery box!
