I like how mascot horror is playing a lot with the idea “victim/culprit” Like.. you have clear victims of that body distortion and mind distortion too But also they can become culprits of many terrible things Just like Poppy Chapter 3 I also like the idea of people getting distorted into the mascots. If I made a mascot horror game, I would do something like that

Good to see progress going steady with this project! If there was anything I'd bring up, it'd be the bland look of the enviorment. Lighting is the most important thing afterall.

The only thing I could suggest is finding voice actors that were willing to not get paid upfront and every time you make money off of the game pay them until you fully pay what their fees would usually be.

I can't wait for your mascot Horror game! I actually had a similar idea, But I'm going for a different project! It's going to be a horror comedy game!

(Volume Warning towards the end. It's not too loud, but don't crank the volume all the way up) Insectarium is a Mascot Horror game with puzzles being at the forefront of gameplay. Discover more about the experiments your company has conducted on yourself and countless others as you try to go back home and turn back to normal. The game follows Ian, the author of a comic strip about bugs called It's Buggin' Me. After trying to quit his job, he finds himself a victim of his publisher's attempts at bringing the comic's characters to life. I'd suggest taking a look at my initial devlog (linked in the description) to find out more about this game! While also taking the video lightly, as not only have some things changed, but I also don't fully agree with the way I talked about certain other mascot horror games in that video. So i was thinking about my mascot horror game *that i haven't created yet* Im thinking a water drip animatronic that has destroyed in a water factory *not a factory from poppy playtime* in a door is an entrance to the water factory *in the bottom i actually knew that in my cancelled horror game called Finding Noob* and the player is investigating the place from why the water factory got destroyed.

Look, your idea is very interesting, but I think the story is a little too similar to other mascot horrors, I'm not saying you're copying them, but the public might think that, I'm also working on a game and I've already changed his story countless times just to make it different and I still worry about the criticism, so if you could work a little more on the story maybe it would be better.

The game concept sounds exciting, and I'm looking forward to seeing more! I do know that Casting Call Club offers the option, aside from Paid and Unpaid, to have Deferred, where payment is figured out later/once the project is making money/up to the creator of the project. Of course that's more logistic issues, but that could be a happy medium between no voice actors vs paying or the third option of massive rewriting to avoid voice acting over all. Best of Luck!

If you're planning on using professional voice actors, maybe not? I know there are people (like myself) who aren't professional voice actors but would be quite happy to help with passion projects, the only issue with that is that you get Banban's voice quality issues if you don't know how to overcome the issues of the audio. So it's honestly a mixed bag unless you get lucky with a couple of voice actors that are competent at what they do and are more than glad to help you for free starting out either way, I'm excited to see how this turns out

It would be cool if after the first chapter you could be a success and have to escape a larger environment instead with more combat :)

For the voice-acting dilemma: Why not hire them now, & pay them later, Like an I.O.U. of sorts? Tell them you can't pay them now, but you will when the game releases. You get the voice acting in the first chapter, & you pay the voice actors; Win-Win! Of course, there is a bit of risk with this approach, but what can you do? You just earned yourself a subscriber, this sounds like quite the interesting game!

For the voice thing, maybe try using your own voice for whatever character you'll find? If it's not gonna last long then you'd be fine, ofc I don't know anything so don't take my word

I'd like to make a quick note here that I don't have any harsh feelings towards Garten of Banban. I only use that game as an example so often because a lot more people would actually know what I'm talking about. I also have nothing against other Mascot Horror devs, making a game is hard and completing one is even harder! It's mostly a personal thing With that being said, I'm glad to be back on KZbin and I hope that this time it's a permanent comeback. See you guys in the next update
