Hi...ihav one pair of cocktails ...many tyms my birds puting eggs.but nt sitting on eggs properly... waiting nearly from two years eagerly for babies...why ...wts the reason...y she isn't sitting on eggs.... ..

My cockatiel laid 4 egg gapping 3 days. Is it normal? Also the eggs not showing any sign of life it's been 2 weeks. But parents are obsessed with the eggs. I removed the egg but they were screaming so I put them back. Any suggestion?

Beautiful birds, but in after which week they can eat by themselves, I have 02 since their birth. but they still love to be fed by hand. although they got almost feathered completely.

Introduce food to them or put them with other birds where they can see them eating or maybe wait 1 2 week for them to grow so more they will learn to eat eventually

Pls get back to I have had my pet birds since I was 9 I know like everything at least I thought I had gotten a cockatiel and I thought it was a male it’s actually a female and idk what to do it has no other mate in the cage I mean I have 3 parakeets but they can’t mate it’s impossible my question is how do I stop her from laying eggs I have tried everything she has laid 7 and idk what to do nothing is working I already made sure if they were fertil wich they are not but it’s been about 2 /3 weeks and I have reached out to many KZbinrs about could u pls respond.!

Keep her cage covered, give her less light and more sleep time.

@@parrotsworld7088 But, as far as I know, keeping the cage covered encourages the bird to lay eggs as it feels it warm and cozy. Sorry, but I believe it should be quite the opposite.

My cockatiels laid a single egg, its fertile and i plan to keep it. Please tell me how to care for it. Do I have to feed every single time or should i share that duty with its parents?

They'll take care themselves, they'll feed the baby too.. just make sure to give them soft food like boiled egg and bread when the egg hatches ❤️

Hey so my cocktail just laid the egg and male sits on it all time but she doesnt. I wasnt really planning on having more parrots but i feel bad to take away egg my male cocktail has been taking care of. Should i let them have it still? Dont wanna sound like i cant take care of it yk it just wasnt really the plan but idm having 3 cocktails!

They take turns sitting on the egg.. just check if the egg is fertile, they'll take care of the baby on their own if its fertile and hatches. Its actually totally upto you and your convinience if you want more birds or not no one can judge you ❤️ If its not fertile then replace it with a dummy egg or they can go in depression and excessove egg laying if actual egg is taken away. They'll lay 4-6 eggs pee clutch, 2 days apart each, so you'll have to look out for that too.

@@parrotsworld7088 How do i know egg is fretile since its been only day 1. And where can i get the dummy egg bc i never heard of it till now. Even if i get that wouldnt he all time be attached to dummy egg? The reason i asked abt egg is bc im not wanting to take away their egg incase there is depression or smth. I noticed today when i cleaned cage he was trying to find egg whole time and felt like he was panicking until i put it back. I also wanted new breed bird actually so thats why 3rd cocktail was too much for me😭 But i may change plans abt new breed and just keepin cocktails in my apartment🥰 Thank you for helping it means alot!

There is a video on my channel in which I jave shown egg candling process.. A dummy egg is an artificial egg of the same size, might be available at a bird shop near you. O yes they panic and can get stressed.
