For those who complain about the use of Red Loctite- I called XS Sights and asked how this stuff can be removed and they told me about a product made by Bob Smith Industries called Un-Cure Debonder. I tried it and it worked to loosen up the Red Loctite. Another way I have found to deal with Red Loctite on fasteners is to grind a soldering iron tip to a 90 degree flat and then apply the pre-heated tip to the screw head. Takes 1-2 minutes with a 15 watt iron for small screws.

I have to agree with the commenters who think the installation process is a stupid jike. I just installed the XS R3D 2.0 sights on my Glock 43X MOS. I've installed a lot of different sight brands on my Glocks, but it was never his difficult. I did a little filing till the sight went 1/3 of the way in. Then I used my old MGW Glock sight puller. I never had to crank so hard to install a rear sight. I had to get a strong, secure grip on the pusher and crank with a LOT of force to move the sight in. As @allandunaway4573 states, the measurements of the Glock dovetail are a fixed number. Why can't XS use those measurements to create a sight with consistent dimensions that isuser friendly? I can see no damage to the rear sight after the process and I sure as hell don't need Loctite on this sight. This makes me dubious about recommending this sight to other Glock users who may not have as much experience doing installations as I have.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! Our sights are designed to have a tight fit to ensure long-term durability and reliability. That said, we understand that every installation experience can vary depending on the tools used, the condition of the dovetail, and minor variances in manufacturing tolerances (either ours or Glock's factory.) To make a sight that works with all would be a sight that works with none. As for the Loctite, please reference this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGXEZqJqrLBglbMsi=s29pNxeRIvSg1Q60

I noted you didn't apparently file the bottom of the rear sight, you just used the sight pusher? I used my sight pusher and was not able to push the sight very far at all and chose not to force the issue. Will be taking it to my CNC Specialist who is an expert CNC to complete this install unless he says to do otherwise.

See "Vance Outdoors" for a much easier way to remove old sight and install new R3D using sight push tool for rear sight which is a "crush fit" so no need for Loc-Tite except for front sight bolt just a drop on thread. How he describes how to do it and explains why it really makes sense and a quick and easy process. Easy Peasy. I will follow-up after installing tomorrow.

It would’ve been nice if you showed the viewers how to remove the front sight. It’s common sense how to install the sight. Removing the old sights can be tricky. - it should’ve been shown 👎🏻👎🏻 - incomplete video -

What are you using to get the locktite off? In my experience that locktite really messes up the bluing if you remover everything to go a different direction if you want
