mouthpiece pressure caused me the most insane frustration. I play with almost zero pressure now, not because I wanted to be a super player but because it was the ONLY way I can play and hit high notes. if not my lips choke the mpc, and close up. all those years thinking it was a weak embouchure. as soon as I lightened up and the light bulb went on about air and diaphragm, the high notes, endurance and range, all came. still not a super high note player but I can slur to high E with almost no pressure and tongue to a high Bb with about the same. and I can do it for a long time, like a couple hours a day. I say experiment with light pressure. be aware if your lips are choking or if its just the top of your range.

Man just wanted to say I watch your videos all the time and I recently just got a Yamaha Silent Brass and went to my parents house to show it off. I plugged in my mute and went straight to KZbin to search Mr. B’s covers to play for them! I was going to request a song I love listening to the Eagles, could you possibly do “Lyin’ eyes” or “peaceful easy feeling”?!
