Robbie and Noel were closer before Liam. Think Noel got fed up of him and was possibly jealous of angels success especially with it’s clear oasis inspiration. I think initially Noel was impressed with Robbie not conducting himself as a take that member was sposed to (squeaky clean) and took him under his wing likely excited by oasis impact on pop culture ( a member of the biggest boy band publicly impressed by their music and attitude so much that he rebels and goes solo , with them as an obvious influence ). Noel wanted to be more than ‘indie’ he wanted to shake things up and have an influence on things and they genuinely supported Robbie when he was at a loose end waiting for legalities to be settled , finding himself and looking to establish his own sound (be that very oasis and britpop inspired or a George Michael cover to start with ). Robbie got high with Noel at t in the park 95’ and sang him ‘ego a go go’ and ‘life thru a lens’ Noel said if he didn’t put them Lyrics out he would have them as they’re fucking great . Noel also invited him to totp when they did roll with it , and as a guest on Gary Crowley’s london radio when he filled in for him in 96’. Robbie can often be seen on old docs backstage like the one at stoke and Earl’s Court 95’ and can be heard laughing at the end of their Slade cover, he is pictured with Liam , Noel , Owen Morris and Chris abbot at Maison rouge studios and has been implied by Tim abbot to have contributed drunken backing vocals to that track (avec most likely Tom and Chris etc ) . Robbie and Noel can be seen talking via phone on the big breakfast 95’ and are obviously very pally and it is clear they spent a lot of time together around this time . Later Noel became more distant and Robbie became closer to Liam . Later Noel denied they were ever friends and Liam publicity started to mock Robbie and abolish the idea they were friends . Liam himself had been quoted supporting Robbie when he left take that and admitting the whole band liked him a lot . I think again with oasis’s popularity decking slightly after be here now and Robbie getting more success after riding their coat tails in sparked resentment , perhaps Robbie follows them around too intently like a dog and ate too many of their crisps backstage , Robbie had previously shagged a journalist that Liam had slept with the night before in Manchester but under Liam’s name in a Hotel in london after travelling down together after Liam ditched plans to keep drinking with Robbie . A mutual friend said ‘tell that cunt , he’s a cheeky cunt ‘ but perhaps liam was growing tired of Robbie trying to top their antics . Later of course the Nicole Appleton thing would heighten any fall out with them.

Robbie did not win overall. 😂 oasis’s popularity is massive compared to Robbie Williams. Oasis was a generation, Robbie was a pop star.
@musicrewind8713Ай бұрын
@@LeoGladmanMusic. I would say that Oasis has a very strong and loyal fan base compared to Robbie, no question about it. But Robbie has a lot more mainstream appeal than Oasis, he's had more No.1 albums, while both have sold over 75m records worldwide, Robbie also has Take That numbers added on so that would bring his total way up to 100m.
@LeoGladmanMusic.Ай бұрын
@@musicrewind8713 if you look at the monthly listeners on Spotify, oasis has 21 million monthly listeners, Robbie Williams has 11 million, take that has 6 million. Oasis is more listened to and way more influential. Without oasis we wouldn't have bands like Kasabian, arctic monkeys and the Libertines.

Most of the time, the feud with Mariah and Eminem gives me a blistering headache 😩 Though we can agree, once Mariah put out Obsessed the feud had reached fever pitch but I definitely feel Mariah shaded Eminem with class Edit: The video does references to Mean Girls, Mariah's favourite movie, which came out 5 years prior
