I can’t explain the energy in the theater in Chicago of this very excited audience with no idea what the show would actually be absolutely exploding with laughter and applause for this number. I think it’s the moment we all realized that this was laser-focused at appealing to the people who love the movie, which is what it should be.

I love Jennifer Simard! Her voice seems to be a solid rock. It is unbreakable at the highest highs and lowest lows. But what is that vibrato on that last note? It just doesn't sound healthy, especially at the beginning. Can somebody with a better understanding of vocal training explain what she does there to accomplish that weird vibrato? ... which is also kind of amazing btw but just doesn't sound healthy. I'm obsessed! Thanks!

Jennifer hangs out in the passaggio a lot. It’s a healthy way to sing. She belts when she needs to, but not very often here. She has one of the highest strong mixes in the biz. As far as the weird vibrato at the end, it sounds like she pushed through a little frog in her throat.
