Oh this brings back memories! I was an au pair on the Vineyard in the 70s-in West Chop, right across from the lighthouse. It was magical. Mink Meadows, Menemsha Harbor, the Carrousel in Oak Bluffs. Like a dream. Thank you for bringing it all back to me. Great memories.

I am a victim of law enforcement stalking me & harassment. My privacy was invaded they became aware I was a virgin, black, female and Christian. Crimes of sexual abuse for years Los Angeles school district teaching children to gender check me as law enforcement a black adult virgin strange. My parents raised me Christian and I thank GOD everday for my parents. Never received settlement money for 27 years of my life used by law enforcement medical experiments. Holocaust survivors have incourage me and I thank GOD for the survivors you are thee only people who understand 27 years of medical experimenting Minister Ms. Kelli A. Clift.

I hope that everyone that watch these testimonies think very hard before voting for trump . He is so much like hitler. Also i suggest that everyone read the book , the rise and fall of the third reiech. I have been told about the holacaust at a young. Age about hitler and the holacaust. I lost family that i never.knew to the holacaust. No i do not practice the jewish religon or any other. I am an american born in america.

Auschwitz lowered 4M deaths to 1.1M in 1989. Later to 700K. These fake jews still talking about 6M. Holocaust never happened. Tell us how you survived the holocaust ? You , Anne Frank & thousands were supposed to go to the gas chambers right at the railway station, remember ?

I am SO grateful for these people for sharing what was a most horrific experience. We can't begin to imagine, but sadly, I believe that we are seeing history repeat itself.

This is only from his hearing perspective, not his deaf parents' perspective. It's unfortunately most of the interviewers don't know sign language, so often the supposedly documented on the deaf people of Chilmark are not accurate. Still happens today. There's nothing impressive about how Eric adapted. We are impressed by how Deaf people adapted to the hearing-inaccessible environment in everyday life.

Nettie, so caring to help people, most likely would've been shot if she hadn't obeyed that horrible Heindel's orders. Also, another survivor, Erica Lawson, mentioned that she helps charities but Never the Red Cross, for the same reasons. Maybe, they were frightened. But thank goodness the Red Cross in Switzerland was good Nettie & her husband both are such great persons, beautiful

Thank you for this! Family associations with the Vineyard go back to the 1930s but my personal journey dates from around 1946. Memories are sharp. We moved from West Tisbury to Chappaquiddick in 1951, in transition from an agricultural community to a summer paradise. I used to watch "Jaws" whenever I felt homesick; thanks to this, I can have a more pleasant and relevant return! Bless my beloved islands!

Phenomenal human beings. We can never comprehend, truly, what people lived through during the Shoah & under Nazi oppression. We are losing the Greatest Generation. I pray a generation yet to come, will fill their shoes. Stand and be counted...against prejudice, racism & discrimination of ANY kind. ✌️

WOW, Thank You. I’m a Long Islander from Brightwaters (Bay Shore). I just found you folks, Subscribed, & LOVE your videos & especially your recognition of the Wampanoag People. I was born on Mohawk land at the Secatogues band’s home location. I am a bit of an archeologist & flint Napper. My Dad was 27 years old in 1940, from Staten Island, when he moved to Brighwaters, took a Shop teaching job at Bay Shore High School. I’m 69 now & love to drift back with you to times of North Shore & South Shore LI. ❤️
